Wunderpus' get bigger cycle

Nice...I did go on Saturday so did some time on the treadmill plus a light chest workout.

Heavy db presses are a pita for me though, haha
Me too, it's always been a struggle. This program has a ton of potential for me to blast a few PR's I believe. I'm pumped about it.

What's up guys?!

So something a little scary happened last night-

I went through my standard insulin procedure... Did the two shakes (one pre, one intra), pinned 15iu Humalog and drove to the gym while sipping on shake #1 (50g carbolyn, 30g EAAs and pre workout) and everything felt fine. About 15 minutes into my workout (~30 minutes post injection), maybe my second working set, I had an almost INSTANT head rush and a feeling of lightheadedness and a bit of confusion.... It was a unique feeling. I sat down, had hard candy in my pocket (popped one of those) and had my girl go get me a Gatorade. Well, after a very long 5 minutes I was back to 100%. It was weird how fast I came back.

Here's what I think happened, your input would be appreciated-

I tried a new intra workout, Intra MD, over my old intra of carbolyn and BCAAs/EAAs. Why? Well because this is the one John Meadows recommended and I'm very "like that" with these sorts of things. On the bottle it's 30Gs of carbs per serving, so I just 1 and a half scoop plus a bit of carbolyn to carryover and difference. Now, I am not sure if the carbs in the Intra MD are "different" than carbolyn, or what, but I've never had a problem before. According to the manufacturer these are the fastest absorbing carbs around....

Anyway, guys, it really was a good reminder to be careful with this shit. Would I have died yesterday? Unlikely. But, I couldn't gotten really hurt (passing out underneath a bar, for example). IMO, do not fuck with insulin at all. And, if you do, always have a partner with you who KNOWS that you're on insulin in case shit does hit the fan. Lastly, keep sugar sources/Gatorade/glucose tabs/what the fuck ever you want, to prevent yourself from getting fucked up. This goes to show, you can follow directions EXACTLY, and your body can still act weird....

Be safe guys.

Ouch, you sure were lucky. 15iu's sounds like a lot
It does, and I remember when I started saying "Oh, I'll never go above like 5 or 6 ius...."

Well, I guess I was wrong or lied to myself, haha. I only use it on arm day and leg day now, but the pumps and the fullness are so addictive... I can't really describe it.

Funny story-

Yesterday my chick and I were in the car talking about BB'ing and shit... Got on the topic of synthol. I say "Yeah, you know, I think I'd never use it. I just don't care that much and it kind of freaks me out." She hits my right back with "Well, you used to say that about insulin." Haha, she's right...

Now you won't live that one down about that insulin episode lmao. You sure learned a lesson along with eating a big slice of humble pie lol.

Yeah, you know she didn't say one thing about it.... Maybe I dodged a bullet and got lucky?

You should've seen the look on her face the first time I pulled out that Humalog pen.... She's a nurse so she knows what it is... I figure it's best she knows EXACTLY what I'm on and doing in case shit does hit the fan, she can explain to the EMTs or whatever exactly what's going on.

Insulin scares the shit out of me. That's probably a good thing.
How long have you been using it?
What have you noticed that it has done for you since you've been using it?
If you don't mind me asking...

It is a good thing, IMO.... It should scare you. I was afraid of it at first, then after using it for a little while I became too comfortable.

As far as results, they have been pretty noticeable. I am cursed with lagging arms, they just NEVER keep up with everywhere else, same with quads to a degree.... It's worse that my hamstrings and delts are fucking huge, and it makes everything else look smaller.

Anyway, I use insulin on leg and arm day... It has added a fair bit of noticeable mass. Now, I am not looking to ENCOURAGE this behavior, just giving an honest response.

Glad you're alright Wunder, found an old training friend foaming at the mouth after a insulin injection. Called help he was fine after...scary though.
