Wunderpus' get bigger cycle

Damn dude. I just tried the calves. Free bar. Would not recommend. Fuckers straight locked on me during the partials, thought I was going to fall on my face with a bar on my neck. Might strap up some big boy dumbbells tomorrow. Only things I really miss with my ghetto setup are calf machines. And hacks and lighter pulldowns.

But oh the pump. The static hold is mean.

Love it! I do them on the calf raise machine for convenience.

I like doing certain calf things on the leg press. I believe switching it up is best.

I use the Smith machine for calf raises while standing on a block of wood. That helped solve that issue for me so if my calves lock up I dump the hooks.

What's up guys?!

Happy New Years... To most of us though, this is one of the most dreaded times of the year... The wannabe health nuts are invading our gyms! Their "resolutions" are our everyday... Pisses me off.

Anyway, life is good on my end. Had an amazing chest workout yesterday, I will post the video below of my favorite routine within it.

Also, glad to hear your guys are trying out those calf routines, they are excellent for me. I am developing new growth as well as newly visible veins on my calves, so I'm happy.

I really am looking forward to finishing this bitch, I'm on week 5 right now. The intensity has gone from about a 8.5 or to, to a 9.9. My partner has puked the last three lifts (Back, legs and chest & shoulders). The leg routine was by far one of the most mentally challenging workouts I have ever done, here is the part that really stood out:

Leg press-
Keep doing sest of 8 and adding plates for each set. Work up to your 8 rep max, these should be TOUGH, fucking TOUGH.
It should look something like this:

Set 1: 2 plates each side, 8 reps
Set 2: 4 plates each side, 8 reps
Set 3: 6 plates each side, 8 reps
Set 4: 7 plates each side, 8 reps
Set 5: 8 plates each side, 8 reps

Okay, after you hit your 8 rep max do 3 sets of 8. It gets a bit tricky here. Now, starts to drop set of death after those 3 sets-

8 reps of all the weight

Take of 2 or so plates from each side (depending where you're at it will vary) and perform 6 reps again. However, on these 6 reps do a 3 SECOND descent, keep it slow and controlled. At the bottom of the lift, POWER up! 6 of those.

Now, rip off more plates, the amount depends on where your started. Do 6 reps again here, but do a 4 SECOND descent for each rep! Blast off at the bottom again.

LAST ONE! Rip off more plates, let's get 6 reps with a 5 SECOND descent and a power up.

This truly will be a test of your mental will. If you don't want to give up on the last drop set, you're not working hard enough. This will allow you to realize how bad you really want it.

It is my personal challenge to all of you to try this. It helps with a partner, but you can do it alone as well. This workout was in the earlier part of the whole routine, keep that in mind... It was insane, seriously.

Here is the chest routine that gave me a killer pump-

Good luck with these guys, they were fun and really opened my eyes to a new level of pump.

I have decided to throw in T4 @200mcg's first thing in the morning, due to the overwhelming evidence/advice that it will maximize my results with GH. Also, I hope it helps with the lethargy, as I am BEAT for about the first half of every day.... Thanks @mands for always posting credible info.

I am a bit concerned as every time I have run T3/T4 I have noticed strength loss. Anything I can do to hopefully avoid that?? @Docd187123 you mentioned this happens to you as well, right? Clen is the worst for me.... Followed by T3. Really no point to lose my strength in a mass building phase.

Weird clen does same thing to me, never tried t4 but my wife is prescribed it. Honestly ephedrine and caffeine has always done the best for me between clen and ec, and ec has always helped my strength and pump. Might try out t4 here soon.

Morning guys!

So, day 3 of incorporating T4 into my GH regimen... It's made a HUGE difference for my energy. I was waking up so fucking tired, I just figured it was from the brutal workouts... Turns out it probably wasn't. However, I must say, my strength has decreased a bit in the gym. Hopefully that will level out. I am only taking 200MCGs to try it out, and it seems to be enough. @mands maybe you can chime in a bit on this...

Yesterday was a fun day. It was bis and tris with abs and calves thrown in. For example, hammer curls supersetted with hanging leg raises to failure. Ouch. This week the program seems to be focusing on drop sets.

I finally hit 249lbs yesterday, a new record! I know to some that seems insignificant, but I can't express how hard I worked to get there... All the force feeding somehow seems worth it. 260 by mid February is looking pretty difficult, we will see. I'm not willing to just pig out and put on 10lbs of garbage....

I am looking to broaden my knowledge further regarding training/diet and I would be curious to hear some recommendations for reading materials. I am sure @Docd187123 and @weighted chinup will have some good insight. Others are encouraged to join in, as well.

Hope this new year has been great for you guys!

How in depth do you want to go with your reading?

I'll give you a list later today. Some of the texts are quite expensive though but if you can afford them and don't mind laying, they are well worth it for the serious lifter who wishes to know more about how to program training variables.
I would love to find some that are available in the iTunes store, so I can read them on my phone throughout the day... I will take your list and look for PDF/iBook versions of them :)

Thanks!
