I realize this isn't the popular stance but why is MS even bringing this up?? Granted what BM did was fucked up but he's a young kid and I'm betting he thought it was like canceling an Amazon order.. <<<< Doesn't work that way BM..
Anyway, who knows what really happened in all these different situations.. This is Mike's problem and it's something every source deals with, just blacklist them.. Doesn't need to appoint a committee of VIP vets and bring it to the boards..

Brother I agree it's something that all sources have to deal with and it comes with the territory.
As customers we have to deal with weeding out the bad sources just like Mike has to weed out his customers. This is nothing new and will never change no matter what happens.
I understand why Mike wants to bring them out just like we all bring out the sources. It's frustrating to say the least. But him asking everyone here if he can bring them out in the open shows his respect for us. And the majority of the responses he got was to post their names in the open. I myself refraining from posting whether I was for or against it to see just what Mike would do. In the end he told a couple people in private and left it at that. Which I'm not sure if I feel he should if even done that, but like I said he went with what the majority said and still kept it private. The one person that had the balls to come out in the open and post knew figured out what he done was wrong and learned a good lesson from it. So all in all that was a good thing.
I understand where your coming from and agree this is just the process we all have to go through be it sources or customers. But I personally feel sources should never reveal names and if there is an issue that arises it should be handled between them or with one Vet through PM to get it resolved.
As for BM coming out on his own to confront everyone I respect that and everyone here let him know where he screwed up and that was that.
Now you come on here trying to stir the pot for your own delight to keep it going because you get off on it is just wrong. [emoji33]

I was thinking the same damn thing. This is between the source and a would be customer. Why everyone feels the need to jump in here and say what a terrible thing he has done to this source is stupid. Don't sell to him. End of story. I'm sure BM gets in now.

You know I have nothing but respect for you, so please don't interpret this as adversarial, but If I read correctly, it seems as if BM came forward on his own volition. Now whether or not that was to get in front of the shit storm to come, I don't know.
I also realize this is not a source board, but if there was some type of foul play at hand, (which currently only mike and BM know), there is a safety issue at hand not only for Mike, but for all who order from him. Plus, MS makes it a point numerous times not to order unless absolutely sure. Members were openly calling for the guy to be put on blast prior to BM coming forward. Now I actually like BM, but as you stated, he fucked up. I think Mike truly does appreciate and respect the members of this board, which is more than we can say for 99% of the sources on here. Now had he divulged personal info about the guy, that would've been a huge sin, but he didn't. He sought counsel from respected members, as to how the situation should be handled. He asked for my advice as well. I stated to him that if it was just a non payment issue to just bar him from ordering. Mike's concern was that there was foul play that could not only potentially affect his safety, but the members as well. I told him If that was the case @mikestrong had every right to bring this to light if he truly felt it was in our best interest. As you know, He takes his honor code quite seriously, and I truly believe he was acting in good faith. I also told him to reach out to the accused one more time (he said the accused was non responsive to PM's), and give him the chance to explain himself before exposing anything. If I steered him wrong, I apologize...

All good GB and I get what you're saying but in this case at least I just don't see it that way.. Also I don't see why he can't handle issues without getting you and others involved lately..
MS didn't come on here like a regular open source, you needed references and were then approved as a "VIP".. It SEEMS just anyone could order lately and when you do that stuff like this is bound to happen.. Can't have it both ways!!
Saying new customers can only pay with bitcoin is a great idea in my mind to avoid these issues but there was obviously something wrong with the "screening process" to have this happen so much in the first place..
I just think it's crazy that if you have an issue with MS you run the chance of being put on trial in front of the whole board with people calling for heads and shit.. All I'm saying is he's a big boy that's been around for quite a while and should be able to handle this crap on his own..
Good news is there doesn't seem to be any problems with his gear though, we could be having much worse conversations!!

I see your point as well brother, which is why I told him if it was simple non payment to just ban the guy from ordering again and leave it at that, but MS explained to me that this was more than that and he had safety concerns. I think he's been coming to members out of respect to us, but I agree, I think he should probably go back to his original business model and be more selective with whom he does business with...

Beast why did you give me COMPLETE PAY INFO & even a maill addy to send your things to? I mean you sent me an email where you give me the COMPLETE PAY INFO, when people got to work on it, to collect it, there was nothing. Then you don't return emails or pm's?
To the members who think this should NOT be addressed & that this is NOT a big deal.
I am a bit speechless, I feel let down & concerned to say the least.
Almost as if some of you want me to feel a bit like I am to blame, or as if I handled this wrong.
Maybe some here could explain to me how this is NOT a REVERSE SCAM? OK if he actually sent it like he says, then can he show a record of this? If so OK, he changed his mind & decided not to tell, or answer my emails. Fine I agree that is just poor word & poor communication.
But if he never sent fund, just gave me a FAKE #, with fake names & an addy to ship things. Then how is that NOT a REVERSE SCAM?
If some of you dis-agree with my concern for safety & the way I do things, fine maybe you can teach me how to do things better & safer?

This is where all the big boys are, a lot of knowledge here I have learned a lot in this short time, thank you guys for that, I don't post a lot but I'm real busy with life.
I just moved to Germany, up at 5 on the construction site by 7, I get off by 4 then I have lanauage school by 530 till 9 twice a week, in between that in in driving school at night 2 days a week so in between things I try to see what i missed a cautch up, But just want to thank you guys for the free knowledge for us that are new to this, I love this site and the way it's handled

I respect you MS but maybe BM in a young mind just thought of it as a canceled online order I get where you coming from and by no means no way I'm siding with the fact that he is rwrong just maybe inexperience I also get that your main priority is safety for you and all I respect you and your services hope we can move on and past this no need to bring this to the board just blacklist him and move forward
I understand why you feel this way, JB, but in fairness to all involved, one of the other issues that ended up with members involved (the situation with Element00) was because the member contacted me first. Mike had no plans of involving me or telling me about it, but element00 Pm'd me first. I then went to Mike trying to help element out and help him get resolution.
So in that case (I can't speak on this one) the member was the one who involved other members, not MS. It went public after the member posted about it, if I remember correctly.

Well said and ditto (except on "stir the pot joke", I heard that it is better too smoke than stir it, but what do I know).
I agree that the Src needs to keep names private. It's his dealings. JB made a very good point there.
I am glad BM came out and showed his hand. The way he handled things prior; It may not be the way some of us would of handled it, but it does show integrity (fessing up), which is sorely missing in our society most of the times.
MS's concerns are valid and if not addressed properly, could affect us all! But not out in the open, imho.

In a scam the party asks for something in return for nothing given. Did this happen in This situation? What are you tring to achieve? I do think you handled this the wrong way.
