What Are You Training Today?

Damn still battling that snow brother, I don't envy you one bit. Has been beautiful here but I have a fear we have a bunch of rain coming soon and when it rains in the PNW it pours!

Heavy rain would piss me off bigtime too but yeah just dying to move out of CT, maybe I'd head to either Arizona, Texas or Nevada
 
Can't even imagine brother. We got about two feet a few years ago for about a week and it reeked havoc. We are not prepared for it like you guys though. I am sure OGH remembers that year......

Supposed to snow AGAIN tonight until Thursday here. I have a mound of snow at the bottom of the driveway that's taller than me and I'm 5'10". I had to dig for my mailbox this morning, town plow truck wiped it out, in 4ft of solid snow. I felt like a damn Eskimo lol
 
Wtf, it was 66 with rain today and my wife was afraid to take the baby out because it was too cold. Ill have to show her this pic and ask what people do with babies that live in the snow. Thats shits crazy.

Everone in socal is like her. I went to the gym today and people were wearing parkas and shit, fucking comedy. I grew up in the snow, but nothing like that pic.

That's not the bad part Ozzy. The bottom of the driveway is much higher but there's no light to take a good pic. I actually am loving this weather and dreading the upcoming summer.

Looks like you get your cardio whether you want it or not. I dont like summer either but damn, I dont think I would like that type of winter either. Im just gunna stay in sunny SD where everyday is the same.
 
Arms, calves, abs tonight......
Barbell curls – Do several warm ups then just pyramid up taking very small jumps on these. Do 5 sets of 8. Use the Grip4orce on these. Rest about 1minute between sets. total work sets.
Dumbell curl – Do 4 sets of 8 on these with your palms up the whole time. Use the Grip4orce on these. Rest about 1 minute between sets. 4 total work sets.
Machine curl – Use some kind of preacher type machine do 3 sets of 20 reps. Squeeze your biceps hard at the contraction point. 3 total work sets.
Rope pushdowns – Do plenty of warm ups then start with a set of a hard 15 reps. Flex at the bottom on every set. Add weight and go to failure on the next 3 sets. So for example, Rest about 1 minute between sets. 4 total work sets.
Dip machine – Get on a dip machine and do 4 sets. Use the exact same strategy that we used on the pushdowns for reps. 4 total work sets.
Barbell lying extensions – 4
sets of 8 to 10. 4 total work sets.
 
Tonight:

ME deadlifts: 4 sets if singles
Pause squats: worked up to a light/RPE 6-7 pause squats for a triple
Glute bridges: 4 sets of 10 reps
Weighted incline sit-ups: 2 sets of 12 reps

Cool thread , and I really like the detail in this post. Subbed to thread for daily training ideas, I think most of us are in the point of our lifting/bodybuilding lives that we are always looking for something to mix it up.

As for me tonight, I hit deads for the first time in forever due to an injury. Got up to 405 before deciding I should stop there and ease back into it a little slower. Felt good though!

Deadlift- 5x5

Reverse DB Fly- 2x15

Pretty simple but classic back workout. Then burned out on some abs and calves. Trying to hit my calves as much as possible, Around 3x week now as I haven't found much success in anything else!

Nice to meet you brother Rigs and good looking back routine. I hit calves 2-3 times per week as well.
 
Legs tonight......
Lying leg curls – 2-3 warm up sets. 1.5’s today. So lower the weight, bring it up a few
inches, lower it back down, then come up all the way. That is one rep. Do 4 sets of 10 like this. Find a weight thatmakes these burn like fire. 4 total work sets.
Squat – Take as many warm ups as you need, and pyramid up. sets of 6 with perfect
form. 3 second descent so you are in total control of the weight. Just keep going up until you can barely get 6. We’ll count the last 3 sets as working sets. Squat to just above parallel. 3 total work sets.
Leg press – Use amoderate weight and crank out 15 reps. Rest about 60 seconds between sets and do 4 sets total like this. 4 total work sets.
Leg extension – Do 2 heavy sets of 8 with a 1 second flex. On third set do 8 reps, drop
the weight and do 8 more, then drop the weight and do 8 more, then drop the weight and crank to total failure. 3 total work sets.
Barbell stiff legged deads – Do 3 sets of 8. Work the stretch, your legs will be tight and full of blood. 3 total work sets.
 
Hit legs tonight as well. I ordered myself some rehband knee sleeves after taking some time off from heavier leg workouts due to knee discomfort. I loved them, my love for leg day is back. I did front squats tonight but will try regular ones again next week.

Does your gym have a hack squat machine? If so, pile on the weight and turn around on the machine so your ass is sticking out. Is superset those with the regular way to do them and man does it destroy me.
