I put this here because, well, they are huge nerds! their office is wicked cool but I can't have my phone out in any of the cool areas, they don't allow it. they would only let me take a pic of the elevator lobby doors

Wow, I just found this thread. I love doing this kind of shit too. I have a couple of 12,000 volt neon sign transformers that I have used to build Jacob's ladders with and plan on building a Tesla coil with. I wonder if I can use them for this project. I'm gonna have to try now.

Smart man. I've played around with these transformers for years making Jacob's ladders. My kids think it's awesome, and it is, but it will definitely light you up in a bad way if you're careless.
