I really have no interest in waiting to see how it goes when it comes to saddling my kids with the repercussions of the modern Republican party, or whoever they think they are these days. However, I suppose that all we really can do is wait and see how it goes now, we don't have another choice.

There are very few good things in that tax bill, whether we're waiting to see how it goes or not. Trump would have signed anything the Republicans handed, primarily because he's too incompetent to know what any of it means but also because he's too lazy or stupid to bother reading it at all. I don't need the media to tell me that saving the richest individuals in the country a shit ton of money on taxes is good or bad, I already know what it is. I don't need the media to tell me it's a ridiculous notion to think that slashing corporate tax rates by 15% and expecting it to result in raises to middle and or lower class workers... I already know what it is.

I have ready raised my rate of pay for my employees. I am not a large corporation by any means but my company has made a lot the last few years considering what we are.

For me the plan is a good one and my employees but in fairness, I have not assessed the effect on the nation nor would I be qualified to do so.

How much did the corporate tax rate change your decision to do that? I can't imagine it had any effect on that decision whatsoever. The employees at my company got raises too, it has nothing to do with the tax rate... They would have gotten them anyways. They most certainly will not get even bigger raises due to the tax cut. It will stimulate growth, sure, but it's also catered to the rich. It's not a tax bill for the middle class.

I don't like looking for the intent of what he's saying because it's subjective. You basically end up translating his intent into what you think he means... I wish I had a dollar for every time a Trump supporter says, "oh what he really meant was XXX..."

My wife is Canadian and I go there regularly. They live him for the most part despite what the media says.

I understand what you mean about his speech and also agree about interpretation.
