Do I support socialism as Karl Marx envisioned it? No. Absolutely not. It’s not sustainable
Do I support socialism in the context of making sure that people don’t starve and ensuing that essential services receive the funding that they need to run properly by virtue of being public services and thereby getting funding through tax revenues? Absolutely.
I also don’t support unfettered capitalism, but I realize that it’s the best economic opinion that we currently have available to us. It requires regulation, though, or the world would eat itself.
As I’ve said repeatedly, neither are “yes or no” concepts. They’re sliding scales, not dichotomies.

If you're insinuating that China, a communist country, is successful because of communism you are either being dishonest or are flat out ignorant. Back in 1990, ninety percent of China was living below the poverty level. The only reason why China is prospering now is due to foreign investments led by the US (which falls under capitalism, by the way; not communism). And then there's the billions China has received from the US, along with other countries in foreign aid.

What you mean is that the first world outsourced all of our manufacturing jobs to there to make a quick buck and their economy is flourishing because of it.
You could make the argument that their structured economy has helped them leverage their exploding manufacturing sector more efficiently, but the period in time that China was actually communist was a low point for them whether you measure it in economic strength or in human suffering.

What's truly idiotic is to call China's communism a success. Do some history research on China's history and how tens of millions of Chinese people starved to death or were murdered under the true tenets of communism. A little backstory to my nick: I once worked as an IT service desk agent, and taking the same sort of calls every darn day and doing the same solutions which to me was mindless work..thus the nickname.
