I don't know what's happening in the states or EU but in the last 24 hours, here in UK, everyone's gone fucking crazy again and started panic buying fuel coz of the USSR/Ukraine war.
2 mile tailbacks in my area leading to all local fuel stations and all side roads and residential areas are getting gridlocked.
If I want to go somewhere......I have to walk or cycle !!!

I am sure that you need to exhale and keep yourself calm, the panic will subside and the main thing is not to do rash acts. I follow this tactic.

My local Asda and Sainsbury had security staff patrolling yesterday and now they're both closed/no fuel.

News reports said fuel is going to increase by 20p or more per litre so everybody jumped in their cars and rushed to the fuel stations to fill up their tanks

lmao fucking normies. MUH FUEL MUH GASOLINA OH NOESSS

fucking fat fuck npcs too scared to ride a bike given the 1 in a billion chance that fuel might go up 0.1% pounds OH NOEEEEEESS

how fucking retarded are people. they will go out and splurge 100 pounds on a fine bottle of wine but instantly panic when fuel prices goes up 20 pence LMAO

i want to cave in npc faces so bad. please i need a nuclear holocaust so i can go absolutely apeshit

Most consumers/general public are just fucking bonkers tbh but the media doesn't help by announcing reports like these. If fuel is actually going to increase in price what do they hope to achieve by telling everyone and making people panic?

If it's going to happen, just let it happen, without creating mass hysteria

True bro.

None of us like price hikes on anything coz it just impacts on our cost of living but numpties need to put some things into perspective and act rationally.

A fuel increase of 20p per litre isn't great but for the amount of mileage most people/commuters/general public do per week it's not exactly going to make much of a difference is it.

For example:
Your weekly fuel bill of £50 "might" soon rise to £55 or even £60 but is that a good enough reason to go and panic buy fuel today and cause chaos on the roads? Your fuel tank will be empty next week and you'll be paying the extra 20p anyway so what's the point of going bonkers this week just to save £5 or £10 on fuel !!!

You can easily compensate for the fuel price increase by not eating shit from Mcdonalds every morning and having some cereal at home instead, or not buying a fancy mocha choca latte and an over-priced sandwich from Starbucks/Subway everyday for lunch:rolleyes:

Oh, damn, what can I wish, patience to you. And peace of mind and spend time with loved ones. There is no way we can influence this situation. We'll just waste our nerves.

You are correct, Bro.
Always raising prices, especially for fuel, is a chain that leads to higher prices for all products. And not only good, but necessary. At the same time, the income level of people is the same, in other words, we are becoming poorer in the net balance and no one likes it. And it puts a lot of pressure on the nerves and on the mood.

Well in the states i can speak for California.
Fuel is up more than usual avg cost per gallon 5$ no panic buying.
Eggs and bacon are up, and ammo is plentiful.

Exporting from ports in california is a major bitch still.

I'm just pissed cause it's increased about 7p per liter in less than 5 months and is steadily increasing. It's fucking ridiculous, the same with energy prices going up by 50%. I feel envious of USA as their fuel prices are half of what it is here in the UK.

The energy companies always make tons of profit, but they're never willing to help the country by holding the costs down lower at least until it blows over.

Wish I had the option of not needing fuel or energy, but I don't live in a hut, so I have to just deal with it and have way less money.

I think the price of fuel will go up. Judging by what is happening in the oil market. Plus, the situation in Russia does not add positive to lower prices.

We are all now hostages of corporations, and rising prices will hit our wallets. We will spend more, because it will affect all areas. Products, services, transport. And only politicians will win.

Since the first big "end of lockdowns" happened here fuel has actually jumped back up by over 30p per litre. It's scandalous that our Government allows this type of exploitation to happen !!!

How can fuel go from approx £1.10 during pandemic to over £1.50 in less than a year !!! Fuel prices should be capped at a reasonable level for consumers and the suppliers should have to soak up the difference in their profits from any rising costs of them buying the fuckin stuff and selling it to us

It's goddamn ridiculous that the cost of living is shooting up so much but wages just won't rise. Luckily I should get a pay rise in April and my wife's workplace raised the minimum pay to £10/hour recently so it's made it easier, but if it continues like this then it's going to really mess us up with no chance for savings or paying off debts.

I'm self employed (small business) so I'm getting fucked from every angle you can imagine and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.

To say that I'm struggling financially now and worrying about my future would be an understatement. I'll be surprised if I've still got a business and a home in 6 months :(
