Panic Buying Fuel Again FFS

Since the first big "end of lockdowns" happened here fuel has actually jumped back up by over 30p per litre. It's scandalous that our Government allows this type of exploitation to happen !!!

How can fuel go from approx £1.10 during pandemic to over £1.50 in less than a year !!! Fuel prices should be capped at a reasonable level for consumers and the suppliers should have to soak up the difference in their profits from any rising costs of them buying the fuckin stuff and selling it to us
As always, any crisis, any situation is a way to make money on ordinary people. They will explain it with anything - price increase. But in fact, they just earn more and more from us.

During a panic, people sometimes do things and instead of getting benefits, they get even more problems. Therefore, the best advice is not to panic and wait.

The crazy part is Russia only makes up 8% of our oil import. We rely on about 80-90% on our own oil depending where you get the info from. So how does that little amount cause such an increase in price? lol. It's all a big ass scam so they can make billions and just say it's because of this when in reality they gov't are just ultra greedy fucks.

The current fuel price situation in UK is beyond ridiculous now.

I rely heavily on a van(s) for my job and I do a lot of mileage with a usual weekly fuel bill of about 170 per van.

Over the last 4-6 weeks my weekly fuel bill has risen to 270-350 (per van) so I'm having to raise my service prices and lose customers in the process coz I can't stay competitive anymore.

I can't afford to pay an extra 400-600 per month (per van) just to stay in business:mad:

The most deplorable thing is that prices continue to rise and until we know where the ceiling is, it is possible that fuel and electricity will grow and grow and we will be left without money at all.

What are your competitors doing that you cannot?

That's where it's all heading at this rate bro. There will be mass riots and looting if things don't slow down soon.

I was better off financially during total lockdowns tbh. This "return to normality" is not a return to normality at all !!!
It's the dawn of a new shitty era where we are all getting exploited and screwed to the maximum while the govts try to recoup some of the money they spent supporting us all during the peaks of a pandemic that were not caused by the citizens of various countries.

Literally, some of them must be working for no profit and being honest I can only assume "some of" my competitors now are desperate migrants. I don't mean to offend anyone by saying that....but there's no other explanation in my business sector after taking costs/overheads/operating costs into account.

They must all be paying the same fuel prices as me (unless they've got a dodgy source for really cheap red diesel etc) so if they haven't raised their service prices yet they're either totally dumb as fuck with no idea of running a business or they just don't care about making profit and are just happy to be in the UK (or anywhere else apart from their own country).

JMO.

I agree, everything is not just moving towards this, it is already coming. goes to chaos. I don’t know what our president is thinking, blaming all his mistakes on Putin, I don’t even understand

I adapted very quickly to lokdana and even found additional remote work and spent less money on travel and transport services. And he made the hall of the house. Therefore, in general, everything was not bad during the lockdown, but now my income is getting smaller and smaller every day.

travel and transport services.

Well bro, this is my industry sector so if we ain't moving goods and providing transportation we ain't even making a living.

We were all national heroes during the pandemic coz we were willing to still keep working and not take Govt Covid benefits and "stay at home" with 75% paid wages. Everyone loved and respected us during lockdowns coz we were the only few people legally allowed on the roads and it was "us" offering cheap essential services to the supermarkets etc and even free services to help the needy in our communites and fuel prices were slashed to assist with supporting the country.

Now we are just lowlife unskilled scum treated with contempt by the Govt and with no support for the insane rising cost of fuel.

This is very, very bad, and there are many examples like yours. And the government does not think that it is getting worse for us to live
