TRT options?

So I got labs back from PC today. Everything was normal on the entire panel that he ran. Test was 340, they said normal range was from 264-916 for my age range. So at 42 yrs with my test levels in the normal range but have several symptoms of Low T what should I do moving forward? Just stay with things being in the normal range or set up another appt and see if he will put me on. I have never ran any gear and have no idea what 600-700 test levels would feel like or if that’s what levels I even need to be at in the first place. Thanks for any guidance moving forward.

TRT clinic. Anti aging clinic. Optimization clinic. You need to do your research on the risks of being shut down, etc

You could always try your PC but most of them are ignorant to hormone levels and go off the almost useless standards. If your experiencing symptoms of low t try going to a dedicated trt clinic you'll have better luck going through them but they are more expensive usually.

Check out this thread it will be very helpful

My PC is the one who ran the intial test. I just got the results today and spoke with his nurse on the phone. I wld like to be able to go through him so I can keep everything in the same place with my other meds. And I don’t know how he wld react to me going else where like I’m just trying to find a reason to start taking. I’m just tired of feeling like shit. How big of a difference does it make in the way person feels going from 300s to let’s say 500-600. Is it a drastic difference?

I’m sorry for the ignorance which is why I’m here trying to learn. What do you mean by being shutdown? Not trying to get roasted just trying to learn.

Being on exogenous test will shutdown your HPTA system. Same risks at running steroid cycles. You may not regain the same function. TRT is for life.

I thgt that’s what u were meaning but didn’t want to say that and look like a jack ass noob. I figured once you got on it was for good, I’m good with that. But if I don’t need to bc of what my levels are currently at than I’ll just have to deal. It just seems that everyone that I know says their life overall gets better. With that being said I don’t know if they’re running more than TRT dose or anything added on top of that. Is there a big difference in they way you would feel going from 300 to 600. Only reason I say 600 is bc that seems to be the most common number from the guys I work with. Does anyone know what levels doc normally target or do they go off of how you react and feel?

You are a noob. And that's ok lol.
It's only gonna get worse. You can see If you can find a urologist that would treat you. Testosterone may not be covered but the visits could be. Pharma test is cheap. You don't need to run cycles to feel better either.

I feel best between 700 and 1100. More is not always better.

Go to a TrT online clinic that specializes in it. You’ll be better off in the long run. They do it all the time and the good ones are good at helping you get dialed in. It can be a little expensive depends on your finances but I would do it 1000x’s again without question. I started at almost the same numbers as you but had all the symptoms of low t for years. It literally changed my life. I’m lucky enough that I got it prescribed from my doc but I would have been better off going to a clinic myself as I pretty much manage myself. Once you learn what you need it’s easy so you could do a TrT clinic for 6 months then just self treat. Feel free to ask me anything else you’d like to know.

Very hard to get your PC to put you in test to get your levels 700+. You are really better off going through a trt clinic. I have been trying to get my PC to put me on for about 5 years. Almost got him to do it, maybe in another year….

Crazy thing is he ran my numbers 6yrs ago bc he suspected it then, but they came back at 430. So here we are 6 yrs later and going through it again.

Hello all,
I am jumping here because I am a noob too in a similar situation: I have 220-ish testo and considering going to TRT clinic; right now doing other hormones panel to try to understand why my testo is so low but if nothing is crazy messed up I was thinking to get some TRT. I am 37 years old and despite having less libido than at 21 but I got my wife pregnant one year ago and still have a decent libido and everything down seems to work fine, however I find myself always tired during the day, not really depressed but for sure drained and have a big luck of motivation to training (and I got some weight in for that reason that I struggle to get rid off), I get some brain fog after lunch time that make me having a hard time concentrating at work etc so I try to weak up early and do most of the mental focused work in the morning before lunch.

Question for the more expert that can be useful to the author of this topic if it is in the same condition:
Can joining a TRT with a moderate dosage of testo + HCG for one year or so will shut down your HPTA system forever? I would like to bring the levels to normal so to get the right motivation to lose weight hit the gym and eventually get off from it within 9 months to one year, but worried that even for such period of time I will shut down. On the other side one could argue to don't start TRT at all and try to lose weight, hit the gym and see if it helps the natural level, but in the past year I found big lack of motivation in being able to lose weight and train properly and no idea how much test can help me with that and my mental focus so kind of interested to try out to see if it is so beneficial.
Thanks all

It's a world of difference. You don't realise how shitty you feel untill you start trt it was life changing for me. Having to come off to conceive was the worst year ever me and my wife hated it but the ends justified the means.

That's why so many ppl self medicate or have to go though trt clinics PC stick to the range and don't care how you actually feel. Who's to say 430 wasn't low for you in the first place.
My buddy's blood just came back at 690 on trt and he says he feels like Superman

It is very very rare to not recover HPTA function especially if you are only doing it for less than a year. I blasted and crushed for 3 years straight and still recovered mine no problem. (Tho it is highly individual)
Hcg makes the recovery even faster
I will say once you start it's extremely hard to stop.

The main reason I wanted to go through my doc is so he cld monitor whatever needs to be looked at. I still have to use him for the rest of my meds and follow ups for general purposes. I didn’t know how well the HRT or online clinics even looked at long term health. I just figured that was for the hardcore guys. Are you still prescribed or using ugl for treatment?

I’ll going to try and have a talk with him since my labs are back and go from there. May try and find a source just in case that falls through I had even thgt about running some and then coming off and see if my numbers dropped and try to get a script. But I don’t know how long I would have to set medicate before trying again. And don’t even know if that’s a good idea to begin with. If you don’t mind me asking what was his levels to start with and how much is he taking?

I use ugl right now BC I'm "experienced" and don't feel like paying $200 a quarter for a doc to prescribe it to me. I only go though a clinic when I need to travel and that's almost never.
If you don’t mind me asking what was his levels to start with and how much is he taking?
I can't remember exactly what he started at I think 300+ total and 14 free.
He was started at 80mg/w then 120mg/week and now's at 160mg/w and that put him at 690 total 25.6 fre

To be honest I feel like the hrt clinic took my overall health more seriously. When I went to my GP all the ordered was free and total test. When I went to online clinic they ordered full blood panels and actually went though everything with me even if it came back in range just didn't ignore me and say "it came back normal"
The main reason I wanted to go through my doc is so he cld monitor whatever needs to be looked at. I still have to use him for the rest of my meds and follow ups for general purposes.

Another one of my friends did this with his GP BC he wanted his insurance to cover the testosterone and his doc put him on 50mg 1 shot a week. He throws in another 50mg from ugl and feels good at 100mg.
I’ll going to try and have a talk with him since my labs are back and go from there
That's the best thing you can do right now and hopefully you have a competent doctor good luck!

Viking alternative will start you out on 200 a week.I feel best with levels at 950-1300. It's kinda red lining things a bit but labs look good if you donate blood 4x a year. I felt like ass at 430 when I got on trt.

As others have stated, try your PC first. So glad I did! Just go in there and tell him that your sex life is nonexistent, you come home from work and flop straight on the couch, work is slacking as the motivation just isn’t there, you get the idea. Tell him you have a coworker who recently got put on trt and you can’t believe the change you’ve seen in him and that you would like a better quality and of life that a slightly higher testosterone level would give you. Good luck!
