Nick Walker's "new coach" announcement

nick just posted on IG confirming that for the foreseeable future, he will be coaching himself.

i really don't know what nick needs exactly to really get the most out of his physique. he's obviously massive, but there are unchangable facts about his shape and structure that need to be worked around... there are changable factors about his mentality that might help that. i feel so bad for this guy, i feel like this decision means he will just slip farther away from where he wants to be and his mentality will deteriorate more and more.

hope the best for nicky but i don't see this going well at all.

He's just one of those guys that needs to be bang on 100% to even remotely have a shot at the top level. He lost to an off Derek with one of his best looks. When he's fully on, his shape isn't bad at all. Great X frame.

He's still pretty young so he can probably take this year to experiment. Maybe he just needs to see for himself that a good coach is actually important and it's not as easy as he thinks. On the other hand, he might actually succeed as his own coach which would be amazing. Either way, there are positive outcomes to this decision.

I'm still a fan but I think his shot at the title has slipped farther and farther away. The previous 2023 and 2024 years were probably the best shot he had.

Reading between the lines I think he used too much insulin with Jansen and most recently he tried to peak while using GLP-1's and it didn't work. There are all sorts of rumors about his gear protocol (1400 mg tren weekly) and so I can't imagine how hard it would be for a coach to learn his body. Honestly I think this is the best for Nick. The hardship he's overcome in his life has mostly been on his own with the help of close family. It's unclear to me what value-add some of these coaches have when dealing with genetically gifted athletes anyway. I'm very curious to see how he does.
