2007 formula to go the BCS Championship

Sports apprentices,

What a terrible BCS championship game we are looking in the face. West Virginia, yes that's right West Virginia will be one team in the National Championship game. A team with 1 or 2 quality wins all year will be competing for the Championship. Are you serious??? Now If Mizzou beats OU next week they will be the other team. So in essence we have the winner of the 3rd best conference in college football versus the winner of the 6th best conference in college football. WOW!!! Is this some kind of joke?

Now I personally think OU will beat Mizzou next week. Which makes me even crazier that a complete cupcake like Ohio State will be playing WVU. So essentially the winner of the 5th best conference in college football will play the winner of the 6th best conference in college football to decide the national champion. This match up literally makes me want to throw up. The sad thing is that 4 teams from the SEC, USC, Oklahoma and Missouri are all better then WVU and Ohio State and that just sickens me.

So apparently the key to success in 2007 is to play nothing but losers, have 1 loss against those losers and claim you are one of the 2 best teams in college football. This is an absolutely dispicable end to a great college football season.

If the SEC teams like LSU or Florida wouldn't have lost late in the season then they would be atleast competing for the National Championship game. What is even worst is that there could be a Co-National Champions.

This year needed to happen so we can get closer to a Playoff or atleast reform the BCS formula and have a newer format.

I have always had trust in the BCS. But this year again it has failed. If Oklahoma beats Missouri Saturday night, then Ohio State will be playing for the BCS. Ohio State has not 1 win versus a 20 team all year and those cupcakes would in the championship game. Dispicable. It's about time we need a playoff system.

I find it funny you say that you always had trust in the BCS when they allowed a Nebraska team that didn't even win the Big Twelve championship to play Miami in a BCS and then Left out an Undefeated Auburn team a couple of years ago.

I looked at the WVU and OSU schedule and here's what I found. What's sad are these 2 basic facts:

West Virginia has not defeated a top 15 team and Ohio State has not defeated a top 20 team. This is what truly is pathetic and these 2 medicore teams are possibly playing for the national championship. Totally dispicable.

LOL....LSU loses to vastly inferior teams like Kentucky and Arkansas and it's called parity in college football.

OSU loses to an underrated Illinois and they are cupcakes.

Gotta love the hypocrisy.

...and Go Bucks.

And one more thing. OSU is on track to have the best recruiting class for next season. They landed Sabino out of Miami, FL and are waiting on commitments from Mobley and Pryor. Mobley is between Minnesota (hometown) and OSU. Pryor is the next Vince Young. Kid is 6'6, 220Lbs. and runs a 4.4 40. If OSU land Pryor, and by all accounts OSU is his top choice right now, look out. OSU has never had a top notch QB...they've always gotten by with average QB's (Herbstreit, Krenzel, Smith, Boeckman, Schoenhoft, etc.).

LSU, USC, Florida, U Miami, etc. have always had classes loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits. OSU has typically had classes with 2 and 3 star recruits..but have done an outstanding job of developing their talent to play within their system. One could make the argument that OSU has gotten much more out of their players than any other team in college football.

I read where in the past 10 years, OSU has more players active in the NFL than every other team except USC who has 1 more player in the pros. OSU may not have a tough schedule this year, but you can't deny that that program puts out top notch talent year in and year out. They re-load better than any team in the country..and they do it with "average" recruits.

I don't know if I would state that OSU gotten 2 or 3 star recruits when they are one of the most well known programs out there and they always compete and they have some the most talented players in their own back yard-Ohio!

Maybe those that rate recruits are bias as I feel that Florida, California and Texas always seem to get better ratings then other state recruits.

Also I am glad this crap has happened this year in the BCS. This will make us get closer to a playoff berth. There is still room for movement. WVU I believe still has a backyard battle with Pitt so if they lose that game that will help OSU and Georgia move up. Kansas still has a chance. Also Mizzou could and I do believe will lose to Oklahoma.
