Nasser El Sonbaty 1965-2013

Trenbalone, especially at the enormous doses used among pros is very hard on the kidneys.

Well, good thing it isn't Trenbolone,
cause I love that stuff :D

It's most likely the high blood pressure
and dehydration, but not Tren directly..
No proof .. never was... never will be

LOL. I have not followed bb for the 18 years since I stopped competing...so I went back to see what happened to a lot of former pros, and it seems that half are dead. I will go out on a limb here, but one should not keep doing huge amounts of gear if they want to live past 40.

Plenty of breaks, in between,
will help, but you can't be running
gear none stop, without consequence.

Right on brother...
Even I can't run Tren none-stop,
and my body welcomes Tren, with
open arms... open receptors, actually

Of course you can't run Tylenol (etc.) continuously without consequences. I think this once again underscores the difference in use and abuse.

Well, anyone using more than
doses for medical use, would be
abusing AAS... at least, in the public's eyes.

Where does Abuse start, with AAS?
If Ronnie is using 2grams a week
and I am using 1g, am I abusing?

No real sense, in abusing acetaminophen.

I think it comes down to duration and
frequency, rather than abuse... high doses

If we are both competing with one another...
like Pros do all the time.... you better believe I
am going to be using the most gear I can to
keep me ahead of you.. or to catch up to you

It's a good question. Some people look at "time on" versus "time off" e.g. 1/2-on, 1/2-off or 1/3 on, 2/3 off all drugs. Others look at total dosage e.g. grand total 10 grams per year, 20 grams. Then there's the qualitative issues e.g. two people doing same 10-week cycle but one properly manages side effects & PCT versus one who doesn't.

1-2 moderate cycles per year may not cause long-term harm. Year-round continuous use of 2+ grams/wk for 5, 10, 15 years probably will.

Also keep in mind, pro bodybuilding pharmacology is about much more than steroids e.g. diuretics, stimulants, hgh, peptides, insulin, etc, etc. not to mention very high BMI, repeated, major and rapid fluctuations in bodyweight, extreme dieting/recomposition, etc.

Yes, I knew this but forgot about it,
as I was replying here. Thank you

Slin alone causes the famous Insulin Resistance
and we all know how that works out, in the long run.

1st the Resistance, then the diabetes,
then the toes... big problems

Matter of fact, I always thought it was the
Slin responsible for alot of these medical
problems, in Pro BBers, not to mention the
distended abdominal areas..

Some Insulin Receptors can not
become resistant, like around/inside
the organs.
Getting pounded with heavy doses of
Slin over time, can cause major medical problems..

Please correct me, if I am wrong..
Just do it, in a nice way :p

This is sad, he was a great bodybuilder. Abuse or not he was great and did what he had to to win, sad he died so young. RIP Nasser...

This was a man who competed in over 50 competitions just on the pro level alone, yea I hate to say it but I can see where kidney function would die. Sergio Oliva was on dialysis his last few yrs if I'm not mistaken. Flex Wheeler also had kidney issues too. Its PROLONGED USAGE that destroys the body, not "cycling" I'm an amateur guy who usually never goes over a gram at a time, but past few years I've been on almost non-stop. The bloodwork doesn't lie guys, the shit eventually starts throwing things off. I take a fraction of what these guys do, and its getting to the point where I myself need to make some major changes. I got one more show to do pretty soon, and then time for a break...a big break!!!

it's sad to see what is happening. one thing that i keep seeing is people that don't even compete taking a gram or more of test, tren, deca, ect a week. why?? they think they have to. there is no need for that much. either the gear is that underdosed or you have serious problems. get in the gym and bust your ass and work for it. steroids are tools to aid not the main provider.

Last video of Nasser training in the gym last month

More insight into last days of Nasser's life in Egypt including recent video training in the gym:

He was recently invited to the Arnold Classic but politely refused and instead stayed with his family for over a month in Egypt. I’ve been told he had health issues he was dealing with and took a one way ticket to Egypt but I am not 100% sure of the facts as there are always vile people who like to spread disrespectful and indiscreet rumors. As far as his death is concerned no one knows the cause of it at the moment. Sharief was spending time with him and trained with him while in Egypt. Recently he even posted a video of them training together on our forum. Truly and sadly the last recording of him in this world. The one and only spectacles wearing bodybuilding legend.

Sharief called his family to confirm their plan for Sunday and instead his father gave him the bad news. They were planning to go out and train at the gym this coming Sunday but qadrullah, malik-ul-maut took his soul...

"We don’t have an official cause of his death. He took a nap and did not wake up. As Muslims we bury the dead as soon as possible, often even if it means not investigating the cause."...

Sherief was at his funeral in Egypt. Why did Nasser go to Egypt? I believe God wanted Sherief to get to know Him before his time was up.

Although Nasser wasn’t a practicing Muslim for a majority of his life, at the end of his life he was a better man, he attended jumuah, gave life thought and wasn’t so far from Islam as some people think. In the end he is a man who professes the shahadah, his faith in Allah (swt) and Muhammad (saw) and Allah (swt) will judge him accordingly alone. For the best of it as Bobber said, Allah (swt) decreed that he go to Egypt, be with his family, get closer to Allah (swt) and pass away in a Muslim country. May Allah (swt) forgive him his shortcomings and accept his good deeds. Ameen.

I'm asking this because I don't know: Does that sound like a typical(if there is such a thing) death from kidney failure...dying in your sleep on the eve of a planned workout? I'd have thought that would be more of a drawn out, debilitating thing. It sounds like they aren't that anxious to find out for sure either, and will opt for burial over autopsy,so we'll probably never know for sure.Tragic event regardless.
