5 Guys....Not just a burger joint anymore

I went for low-mid 500s on my last squat and just barely missed it. I felt like I was so close to grinding it out. It was disappointing. I know I could've gotten 520 but oh well.

9/9 for me. Two PRs, three state records and beat my last meet total by a few pounds while being over 40lbs lighter. Also over a 3x bodyweight deadlift.

Great job to both of you guys! Keep that shit up keep it Barack Brobama and Bro Biden!

Is @ruckin done? I'm sure he pulled. Maybe light bench also, like he said?
yep I pulled pretty solid I think, mid 500s, which I'm super happy with since I've deadlifted heavy only twice since March. I'm very confident I can get 585 by the end of my cruise since my deadlift is still so detrained.

As for bench, I ended up going fairly heavy, but definitely wasn't a max. My tricep felt way better than I expected but it's still a little dinged up. I'll pm you seven.

Got a gold medal, too.

It's been fun everyone, I guess I'll bump my old thread and post in it now. I think we may do this again sometime though.

As for me I'm going to run what I'm running another 4-6 weeks and put some size back on before cruising again. I need to give my lat a few months to heal, so no deadlift for awhile. I think I'm just going to do an upper/lower split with a little hypertrophy work for the meantime. I'm going to start tracking macros again and try not to gain much fat now that I've gotten fairly lean.

I'm about to shower, check out and drive home in the next hour. We've got some television shows to catch up on when we get home and I have to work in the morning. Thanks to everyone that's followed along for your support, I hope it's been a good ride for you all as well.

Reading 5 guys has been this rookies pleasure, trust me. The lbs you guys move is inspiring. I get caught in drama in other threads but have always loved the training section and other threads like 5 guys.

Thank you guys for letting us take this ride w you!
Agreed, meso would be a much better place if their was more threads like this one. It's good to have a bullshit free thread full of camaraderie, heavy weights and the occasional injury.

copy and paste

i cant remember exact numbers because we are americans and Kilos are confusing. hit 474 on squats. i got called on depth on 501 for squats. it moved super easy and quick. i had alot more in me for sure. the squat attempts really kind of got in my head. they moved fast but i definietely have some work to do with my opening my hips for squats.

363 on bench. failed at 380 twice. the first 380 i got it about 2/3 the way up and it wouldnt budge. the third attempt i was gassed out.

deads i pulled 610 with ease on my second and missed 640 just at/below my knees.

i know what i need to work on now and learned a ton from the meet.
was a ton of fun lifting with you guys and getting to meet everyone. would do it again in a heart beat. resting up this week then back at it for my december meet.

I'll be following for sure. I was about to say you would have to come in a little heavier next time. I cant believe you pulled those numbers as much as you cut down. Your just a beast doing that coming in less than 200lbs
