Acne

Acne is different for everyone, example, i was on minocycline for a couple months straight with little to no improvement, topical treatments appear to help initially and then my acne just gets worse, I've been trying pantethine, carnitine, zinc, copper, pre formed vitamin A, vit d3, and vit k2, i thought it was getting a lot better but then it just gets worse again. At least im getting my vitamins, i take a b complex too along with taurine and sone other stuff, wheat germ oil and i need to start remembering my apple cider vinegar every day. I recently started changing my test e shot schedule to try to stabalize my hormone level and eliminate the roller coaster effect which mostly contributes to my acne, i am dividing my cruise dose of 250 mg up among 7 days, yes , on shot a day, i switched to sub q with slin pins, im dosing 20 iu on a slin pin every night of my test e, so thats more than 250 a week, more like 350, i will see how i respond for a couple weeks then see if i can decrease the dose a bit. Today i already notice a good change, my back has no new breakouts, i always have new ones every morning, shoulders and arms seem to be clearing up a bit too. I will keep everyone updated on this. Some people need to change their diet, drink more water, just wash more, maybe some people need antibiotics, maybe accutane, or maybe they just need to balance their hormones, pay attention to your body, it will tell you whats wrong.

So who has actually run Accutane and what was your personal experience? I don't give a fuck about your buddies dry lips... what was your personal experience?

Rapidly approaching 60 and seriously considering this, as even an old man still gets severe acne. My derma has been pushing it on me for years, but I have not taken her up on it.

Starting to think I might give it a run just for shits & giggles

Hey brother I'm using doxycycline it's been a few weeks I had bad back acne and it's gotten a lot better , I shower or bath 3 times a day and sit in the local swimming pool lots and also use a steam room at the gym to clear pores , the antibiotics made me sick the first few times but I adjusted , I also use aloe vera on bad areas and change shirts twice a day

Ran 20mg per day accutane for 3 months then bumped up to 40mg per day for another 3 months and I have 2 months left to go. Dramatic results in acne reduction for example my girl would pop 4 to 7 huge pimples on my back per night.... yeah per night! Now I might get 1 pimple half the size in 2 to 3 weeks. After these next 2 months are done I'm hoping it will be basically cured. Medicated Chapstick is my best fucking friend it's a necessity. Hand and body moisturizer also helps for dryness. For someone who has dealt with acne bad enough to ruin shirts because of pimples popping and bleeding everywhere, I'll take dry skin any day. Pimples take 7 days plus to heal vs moisturizer can instantly help dryness. Side effects I guess I'm lucky because all I've gotten is dry hands and lips and my head flakes. My experience has been good and I'd do it again in a heartbeat, honestly I wish I would of done it sooner to prevent even more scars. Also for the first 3 months it looked like it wasn't even working at all and I was pissed but I stuck to it and by month 5 I saw the light. Hope this helps someone.

Update- no new acne on my back since starting my new pinning schedule. Arms still look fucked up from me being able to pick at everything i see. But, really no new breakouts there either, just the old ones lingering a bit, but drying up, a lot less inflamed and a lot less of the constant greasy feeling i would get an hour after i shower. Doing another sub q pin of test e now.

I'm on it right now at 20 mg a day.
At 20mg the sides are deffidently barable, my results so far are about 50% clearance in 6 weeks.

I started with 40mg and I couldn't hang with the sides, I was averaging 2-3 bloody noses a day and the skin on my face was so dry it's like having a really bad sunburn except it never goes away.

I've tried 4 different rounds of antibiotics, retin a, epiduo, tazarak, pretty much everything.
Accutane is the only thing that has made a significant difference.

A good trick is taking an abrasive oil free scrub and an abrasive towel and scrub the shit out of your skin where it's dry to get the skin flakes off.

Any joint pain at those dosages?

Another thing to try out is tea tree oil. Put a mixture of 25% oil / 75% water into a spray bottle and spray yourself after your evening shower. Drastic reduction in back acne. Only issue is it has a strong smell.

I have run a full course
40/80/100/100/100 which is 5 month dosing.

I sm currently running 20mgs a month and skin has returned to blemish free, but took 4 weeks to do so.

Yup, tea tree oil soap is awesome, or putting straight tea tree oil on them

So my ortho recommends scoping my shoulder and cleaning it up a bit, to hopefully relieve some pain.

From what I have read it appears I should not consider Accutane, before I have fully healed from procedure. (Due to increased scaring)

Would this be correct?

Surgery and accutane do not go together. While on accutane some people complain of joint pain.

[OA] When Strength Turns Into Disease: Acne Fulminans In A Bodybuilder

A 31-year-old male visited our hospital seeking dermatological care. He had been bodybuilding for a long time and had recently initiated a strict preparation program for a contest. To this end, he took intramuscular testosterone injections on three occasions, developing severe acneiform lesions. The course was gradual but progressive, leading to limitations in his daily activities, with arthralgia of the shoulders and ankles, as well as difficulty to work, move, change clothes and even sleep at night.

No fever was reported. Initial testing revealed: a white blood count of 12.570/ mm3; an erythrocyte sedimentation rate of 50mm/h; a platelet count of 278.000/mm3, without liver abnormalities. Upon physical examination, multiple, nodulocystic, erythematous papules and pustules were found on his face, chest, back and arms. Extensive ulcerations with brown-yellowish thick crusts were scattered mainly over his shoulders, the proximal areas of both arms and the upper back.

The diagnosis of acne fulminans was made and treatment was initiated with prednisone 45mg/daily, doxycycline 100mg twice daily and antihistamines.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share my personal story with acne on my last (and first) cycle for other newbs. Basically I had a successful cycle overall, but did run into acne issues I had to see a dermatologist for. Not a train wreck or anything but it wasn't exactly the coolest thing to deal with either.

I ran Test E 400mg and Deca 500mg, for 16 weeks, Test Prop kickstart the first 3-4 weeks, and used Aromasin 25mg EOD. During this time I gained really well, but did get some pesky acne on arms shoulders, and back. It wasnt severe, and was cleared up by a course of doxycycline. A small price to pay given that during this time, I completely transformed my body. Now after I completed my course of Nandrolone, I ran test for another 4 weeks. Generally it is recommended to do this, due to the nature of Deca. It was during these last 4 weeks where things got problematic.

The Test Prop I got for my final weeks was overdosed, and it felt like pretty heavily so. I was bouncing off the walls. I literally am glad I work my own schedule and business because there were times where I literally had to stop everything I was doing and just fucking RUN. It was nothing like what it was like with the brand of test I ran as a kickstart. I felt great, and got shredded up really quickly. Not only was I big, I was getting fucking ripped and fast. I upped my dose to 100mg daily of this stuff and ran letro as my AI. It was about two weeks into this where I got some acne on my face. No big deal right? I'll take some doxycycline and it'll clear up. Not so.

The biggest thing that people need to understand about the acne that comes from running higher amounts of test (I'm sure I was running over a gram) is it that it is NOT normal acne. This is something completely unnatural, something that your body has never seen before and has no experience and zero knowledge of how to deal with. I had 3 gigantic pimples on my cheek, a place I NEVER get acne, and two on my chin, that for 8 weeks would not go away. I've always had clear skin...and now I have fucking cystic acne on my face. Long story short, I visited a dermatologist who injected them individually with corticosteroids and they died almost immediately, but left little red marks that finally, after months, went away to where I now have clear skin again. This is what can happen people. Cystic acne that can potentially fuck up your face FOR LIFE. I caught it just in time, and got lucky after being a fucking dumbass. Don't run super high doses of test guys. I won't be anyway. There are just way smarter ways to go...add another injectable compound, an oral, what the fuck ever, just stack Test with something for fucks sake. Keep doses reasonable, where you get the good effects and can EASILY manage sides, and don't push it. There is no reason to do otherwise unless you are competing or something. My two cents.
