Ah finally the NEXT (3rd) Generic GH Assay Thread

SAMPLE -------- Z (Note this sample is pending an Trypsin cleavage LC/MS bc the amino acid ratio is not entirely consistent with rHGH)

I would strongly suggest the donor obtain a baseline IGF and a repeat IGF several weeks thereafter to determine it's in-vivo efficacy.

THESE ARE POSTED FYI but are preliminary measures this lab conducts on EVERY sample sequence! Similar procedures are MANDATORY if the objective is to obtain
reproducible and accurate results.

Hey fellas check the "Chromo-19" in the "attached files" box. Do you see the INTERNAL STANDARDS, labeled IS(1) and IS(2)?

Yep, the tandem system used by our lab uses TWO internal standards AND an assay "control", which better ensures the data we are posting is accurate.

Sure it's not failsafe by any means, yet NONE of the 18 or so labs I evaluated, (all were listed on the "Science Exchange" post I cited earlier) before I selected this one, used a system which such redundancy!

However I must EMPHASIZE, the reliability of these assays is relatively limited to the quantitative assessment of the AMINO ACIDS present (or absent) and must NOT be used to determine the QUALITY of "what's in that vial", which also includes the presence of CONTAMINANTS that mandate removal from Pharma and will NOT be detected by this form of testing.

The point is, although some of these GH products may approximate Pharma from a purely quantitative perspective, these products must NOT be considered "equivalent to Pharma", and therefore carry a certain degree of inherent RISK!

And that RISK is YOURS and YOURS ALONE, should you opt to use "generic GH"!
(
That is of course unless you or your significant other believe one can successfully sue some unknown entity in what is likely Indo-China, right.)

What is GLY exactly and why is it in more than one brand?
I mean are there any side effects from it? What happens in the human body with a higher amount of GLY?
I don't know what to think about it.. But it's a problem for more than one brand..
Did the producers know about this?
I am sorry if it was explained before, but maybe I didn't understand it right..?
Buy the way, what is GLX?

Thanks a lot for your time

Glycine, the simplest amino acid. Used as a buffer in HGH preparations.

No side effects. There have been studies, which JIM had posted that point to single high dose glycine increasing serum HGH - but those doses are much much much higher than one would fit in a single vial.

I'm sure the producers know that they use glycine as a buffer.

GLX is used for glutamate, if I recall correctly.
