Beverly is right on the fringe of being a snob town. That entire area is entitled and knows better, generally speaking. Lots of private schools, old money. Doesn't surprise me they would do that.

A health worker takes a blood sample on a mobile coronavirus testing unit in Cologne, Germany.

On April 15, passengers bound to Tunisia from Dubai International Airport were tested for Covid-19 right in the terminal. In doing so, Emirates becomes the first airline to conduct rapid tests for passengers, providing results in 10 minutes.

This is just the beginning of the “new normal.” With a vaccine at least 12–18 months away, we’re likely to see proof of noninfection requirements to gain entry to all manner of places — for work, entry to retail stores, congregating in places of worship. Is this the key to getting back to business? The government of Chile thinks so. Chile has just become the first country to distribute “immunity cards” to get back to work. This could be the genesis of a global certification card or an "Immunity Passport,” either physical or digital, to demonstrate fitness for entry.

Apple and Google announced a partnership to enable the use of Bluetooth technology in mobile devices utilizing their platforms for the purposes of contact tracing. If countries and school systems require certification of noninfection, an electronic certificate scanned at the door before you walk into your local grocery might be in our future too.

Kinda cool looking, but let’s get real, this is blown completely out of proportion.

I do want to say.. a lot my posts lately are just things I find "interesting", or even entertaining. I don't take them all too seriously. I do have concerns about some things that are going on as a result of covid19. But I'm just a man, trying to make sense of what's going on, and find the best way to navigate this "new normal".

Swampscott DPW paints pedestrian traffic arrows on Humphrey Street - Itemlive

A two-man crew paints one-way arrows along the sidewalk of Humphrey Street in Swampscott as part of the town’s efforts to promote social distancing among pedestrians.

Overnight, new buzz words were created and new heroes were crowned. What a fucking joke. All the while they make one huge sweep to take a huge chunk of freedom and tyrants are calling the shots. Makes sense though - see how people react on the local level and what they’re willing to tolerate. Helps them plan better for the next big sweep.

That's the 24/7 news cycle. Keep them busy and confused. I do believe some of this is a test. Ventura, hr6666, one way sidewalks. How far can they take it. Or how far will we let them.

Now the psycho mayor of Chicago is spouting some crap about how she will take over by signing executive orders and will only put into power controllers who pledge allegiance to the new world order.

I'll give you the "new normal" : These people being dragged into the street and Ceausescu'd.

10%+ of the world population would need to die to get to herd immunity levels.

But the most important thing:
There's no guarantee that herd immunity is even possible with this virus.
For most viruses, immunity only lasts a few months, then people can get reinfected, even from the same strain.
Reinfections are way more vicious than the first one.
.

Not sure how 10% would have to die, also not sure how reinfections are “way more vicious” I mean sure you may lose immunity but the immune system still has a memory of the original infection. The flu strain that caused the Spanish flu, which was way worse, was around a long time after 1920, probably still around but it’s not as vicious as it was originally. Even that pandemic which likely had a 10-20% death rate and even with the inferior medical expertise it killed 2-3% of the world population.

Very beginning.

So you CAN build up immunity to viruses?

Mayor threatens party-goers with arrest as virus toll mount

`The time for educating people into compliance is over,” Lightfoot said. ``Don’t make us treat you like a criminal, but if you act like a criminal and you violate the law and you refuse to do what is necessary to save lives in this city in the middle of a pandemic, we will take you to jail, period.”

Well the way they release dangerous criminals, you should be let out immediately. That would be logical but let’s be real... they cleared prisons To make room for dissenters.
