I am from the area and have worked throughout this exaggerated mess. Most on my job say 60+ guys have not worn masks and most are from the "epicenter". If it was so overrun then why was the comfort ship and the emergency trioshes not used? There were people furious with Cuomo for crying for help then getting it to have not needed it at all. Millions were wasted and never used.

I have a serious question though I cant seem to understand. Why was it incentivised to report covid patients, then ventilators and finally for reporting it as cause of death? I dont get that, whydid they need to make the virus for profit for the hospitals? Whenever money is offered corruption and greed influence the results. It makes no sense.

Also to add to the conversation, the people that I work with who have been tested for antibodies have all tested positive. There are 4 guys I know of. The one who got results back this past friday has quite a few risk factors. He was getting bloodwork done for them and got the antibody test. None of my coworkers families have been affected except the one guys mother in law almost died in her nursing home. She was strong enough to come off the ventilator. One of the few. Take it for what it's worth I just know my experience in the "epicenter". I will say I work with generally tough rugged people. The women would beat most young wimpy mens ass. So it may influence their immunity.

no exaggeration go look it up smart ass. off the top of my head, The Javits center had about 150 people and the ship had about 107 occupied beds. regardless of the accuracy of those numbers they were plenty of beds available with the capability of taking care of COVID-19 infected people.

The Javits Center was capable of holding 3000 the ship was capable of holding a total of 1000.

Primary problems encountered:

-Limited access helicopter only
-Unable to accept community ambulance
-ONLY preapproved hospital transfers were accepted and most arrived by helicopter from HC facilities that were LESS than TWO MILES AWAY.


FINAL NUMBER of JAVITIS Ctr BEDS? - 892 !!
(Although as many a 4000 beds were planned, only 892 BED UNITS were built as COVID numbers diminished over TIME)

-NUMBER of ICU BEDS —- ZERO

-NUMBER of Intermediate Care Beds -ZERO

-NUMBER of “Oxygen ready” BEDS - 412 (patients need a portable 0-2 source, with temporary exceptions)

-NUMBER of negative pressure rooms — ZERO —- (not deemed necessary as patients were considered HIGH RISK or COVID-19 positive)

-LAB AVAILABILITY - Point of Care only!
- XRAY CAPABILITY - ZERO !

And much like COMFORT, the Javitiz Center was originally built to handle NON-COVID patients, however the focus changed as the NYC pandemic spread.

Yet in due course the pandemic began to wane, which enabled hospitals time to enhance COVID-19 bed capacity, optimize resources and allowed Comfort to depart while Javit morphed into a COVID-19 convalescent facility. The latter morphing into a minimal medical care COVID-19 facility for those awaiting permanent placement elsewhere.

Oh I know, since COVID-19 is not a PANDEMIC like the “Spanish Flu”, modern medicine should be prepared for all contingencies, including exaggerations on behalf of the feeble minded with an agenda to nowhere.
