the wife and I were talking about that. LE will come hassle and arrest folks for congregating on a beach or in a park but will allow these protests and riots? Lol, what?

On another note, if tech firms and government will use cell phone data to track who has covid and their list of potential folks they've infected why is this same idea not being utilized to pinpoint who comes into these areas and riots? They have the ability to pinpoint with relative accuracy so there would be no wiggle room regarding people true whereabouts.

And with these new phones, it's hard to actually turn off location or even pull the battery and toss in a glove box to avoid tracking. I could see a demand for a small box to put your phone in that would render it in accessible for short periods of time.

That would be a great invention. Good luck ever getting it approved or patented though once the government realizes what it’s being used for. I wonder what material would be good to use for that though.

About 10 years ago I was interested enough to figure out how to do it without the case. I soldered a surface mount switch to the antenna so I could press on the case to toggle it on and off. When on it grounded the antenna. Then I got a new phone and wasn't interested enough to do it again. But it would be a simple mod for nearly any phone these days. Probably even integrate it with the software and turn it on and off with an app.

These citations do not support the misinformation or hyperbole that is being propagated in your earlier post, in which the authors didn’t know or chose to ignore existing literature on COVID, MERS, and SARS.

It was actually a pretty good article. A lot of these kinds of studies tend to ignore the high probability the public will simply ignore any measures it doesn't like. But they gave it some attention. Unfortunately, they avoided discussing enforcement which is the inevitable response of government when ignored by its subjects.
