Anyone listen to music that isnt metal or rap at gym?

Not if I have a choice in the matter; though I don't usually listen to music. I've been told that makes me a potential serial killer, to which I say... potential?

I train in my garage & never have music on when lifting as I find it distracting - I like to be 100% focused on lifting & nothing else.

Anyone else the same?
If I had my own gym where I'm alone and in my zone it would be in silence. Just me and weights with some machines. To me commercial gyms in general are distracting there is this indirect dick measuring contest going on, like who's the biggest, most shredded and/or stronger. I come to train and I don't care about anything else. It's distracting, so I go in the early morning usually music is not playing then and there are few people.

Completely agree brother. I have a homegym and a public gym membership and I always just wind up staying in my homegym. There is definitely a dick measuring contest in public gyms and I don't like the unnecessary aggression. In my homegym It's just me and the weights

Like a Rod Stew Your Heart by Kamandi
&
Kelly (end of a nightmare) by Fred again...

I get down with the synthy beat progression from the first one.

The second one gets me pumped up 'cuz I just got out of an 8 month relationship with a woman who turned out to be a narcissistic gold digger. It was a literal nightmare.

Old Australian bands Buffalo and Coloured Balls. Highlight: I'm a Skirt Lifter, Not A Shirt Raiser by Buffalo and Devil's Disciple by Coloured Balls

Also, MJ Lenderman. New kid out of Carolinas. Alternative, I guess.

Dieselboy, Technical Itch, and some other super dark drum & bass like Temulent. Rollins Band is another go to playlist. Hell, even Deadmau5 depending on my mood I want to attain, Old school freestyle like Lizette Melendez and The Cover Girls has a place in my phone or iPod.

Usually listen to YouTube videos that have Goggins or some other type of bodybuilding or other motivation stuff, but I’ll jam tf out of some phonk, trance, or hardstyle.

I listen to all types of shit lol..... From hip hop (newer shit & older shit - 90's, 80's even), rock (grunge, 2000's, 90's 80's, soft rock/classic rock), indie rock, r&b (some new stuff, 2000's, 90's, 80's), disco, dunno if it'd be electronic or house but some of that too LOL. Funk, salsa, merengue, you name it lol........ 100% No Country......... (sorry)

I'm probably a weirdo but I like to listen to calm/slow music when I'm lifting. Helps me focus.

I used to listen to a lot of instrumental movie soundtracks. Slow rock ballads and soul music are some of my favorites these days.
