Anyone out there 50+

Just looking to get some words of motivation and looking to click through some gear to get it going again. I have been training for many many years, also have had 3 back surgeries in the past 8 years and got a little out of shape since then. Question is years ago I had used Var stacking , starting at 30 for 5 days , 50 for 5 days on up to 100, then stated on a durabolin cycle 200 mls for 6 weeks and I have to tell ya the results were quite good. Even with a so-so diet the gains were beautiful. The work out consisted of 3'days on 1 day off and was very consistent. I never took anything afterwards but I did notice the gyno effect, so anyway just looking for some advice and see what is out there for guys my age, any advice?

Thank you Jay for your response, I have been out of the game for quite awhile along with the right type of gym to bang iron. I belong to a country club now and raising children so it's kind of tough to be consistent. There is a gym which is outfitted quite well, but hard to train when you have a bunch of marshmallows milling around trying to hard to pick up on the old wood burners with 50k worth of "make me young again" package. Anyway I will look up some threads and make some decisions. Thanks again

Whats out there for you is an enormous amount of up-to-date information at your finger tips that will prevent you from experiencing gyno, or injuring yourself provided you do some research. No need to titrate compounds, and always include an AI on cycle to maintain E2 levels and reduce your chances of developing gyno. Get to know the compounds you injecting into your body and their PK and PD. This will prevent you from using a compound incorrectly and maximizing your results. And remember, youre not 20 anymore and likely not stepping on stage either. So stay within your boundaries and physical limitations. At 50+, its not how much you can lift, its what you look like you can lift. ;)

Im 50.

Hi Richie. I'm 51. I would never tell anyone what to do but I will tell you what I do and then do your research. For me, Test is the hub for all my cycles and I build around that. I think most would agree. Some people are more sensitive and have more sides and should run it lower. I happen to not be sensitive so I run mine what I consider moderate. There are several compounds I'm comfortable with but my rule of thumb for being in my 50's is I stay away from orals with the exception of Var. What were once only orals are being produced in injectable versions and I will use those.
It sounds like an issue for you is the environment in your gym. If that environment is affecting your workouts, meaning, if you can't lift the way you want to because of the people that are there, then find another gym that has people more like you.
I'm cruising right now but I'm getting ready to start a blast very soon. It will be 12 weeks of Test E, Equipoise, and Var. I'll be doing a cycle log. Starting in a week or two.
Lot's of good info here and people willing to help. Go kill it brother.

I'm 52 and I use steroids mostly for recovery. I find it hard to recover at this age. I'm currently on test cyp 300 a week, primo 400 week and eq 600 week. I included Winnie for 5 weeks but done with that. I train one body part a day except for one day I do chest/tri's. I take Sat/Sun off, but I do some cardio on Saturday. I do have achy shoulders at times so I try to not go too heavy, instead focusing on form and pumps. I eat super clean and have been for at least 30 years. I did 2 shows in my 20's the LA and the Excaliber in SD. I'm currently 180 pounds at 5'11. Maintaining is all I do now. I do 2 cycles a year and the rest of the time it's TRT. Good luck.

I'm 57 and on trt for about 5 years now. I blast test c at 500mgs/week and add usually one other compound. I've kicked off with dbol and used deca. I also add test pp sometimes 50mgs twice a week for some added boost. On trt cruise at 100mgs test c/week I am trying 100mgs mast e/week and so far like the results. Good luck to you and any questions just ask. I'm newer on here but will help you out if I can.

To Mell and others, thanks for the shout out's! Will have a serious conversation with myself after the holidays and like you said "kill it" I have always felt the best when you include lifting in your life style.

52 here. Where I lived by the 3 on 1 off routine in my younger days, I find it difficult to do now with the same intensity. That's the biggest thing I've noticed as I get older, keeping the drive and push in the gym alive without running out of gas.
For me, I find 4 on 1 off works well but I don't get the same results when doing it 3 on 1 off even when using steroids.
I also understand about raising a family as I'm sure a whole lot of people here understand. My wife knows lifting is important to me and healthy for me as well. Everyone should be able to find an hour and a half a day to do something for themselves that's positive.
Go for it!!

I can't do 3 on 1 off either. I just don't recover that quickly. 1 body part a week for me is my sweet spot. Another benefit when you're older it's easier to maintain your shape by eating correctly and being consistent. Gains are more difficult but maintaining is not. At least for me.

Funny comment iron will, been through 2 hernia surgeries and I have a slight in the upper abdomen. You also look better than most 20 or 30 yr old guys , great inspiration for sure.
