Does anyone know a doctor who did research & publish in this area!
Being more than 10 years ahead of the game is bad!!!

Wait! I know. Let's penalize and ostracize those physicians diagnosing and treating this disorder (ASIH)!!! Again, sloppy use of terms - dependence.

[OA] Pope HG, Khalsa JH, Bhasin S. Body Image Disorders and Abuse of Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids Among Men. JAMA. Published online December 08, 2016. Abuse of Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids Among Men With Body Image Disorder

"Users of AASs may develop protracted hypogonadism following AAS withdrawal, which may sometimes persist for years. During AAS withdrawal, hypogonadism may cause some users to develop major depression, leading in some cases to suicidality. Few clinicians are familiar with treating AAS-induced hypogonadism, and clinicians often take an approach of simply advising users to stop these drugs. However, in an attempt to self-treat the highly distressing symptoms of AAS-withdrawal hypogonadism, users frequently resume AAS use, leading to a vicious cycle of dependence."

Now cyclists are prone to "suicide" as an complication of AAS withdrawal NIME.

Nonetheless IF such a link can be proven, a CLOSER look at many of those whom are using these drugs would elucidate a much more likely reason, an underlying emotional disorder.

I believe the citations title speaks volumes to what I'm referring to, bc strictly defined, those with "body dysmorphism" are "OBSESSIVELY preoccupied with their muscular appearance" and in many ways are similar to patients who suffer anorexia nervosa as neither are satisfied with their own self image.

Nice post Doc S

save it Jim, having low testosterone breaks down any persons and makes them feel suicidal. regardless if they have underlying issues, or not.

And I suppose your history of "depression" has no impact or relevancy on "living with hypogonadism" especially since the latter is amenable to TRT while the former IS NOT!

Just more BULLSHIT from a FOOL who unfortunately found Meso to whine on.

Hi Michael:

But in this case the forum called Musclecoop would have almost all users suffering from depression. But that is false.
In addition, the term depression is an obsolete term in terms of Psychotherapy.

Jim..... listen u fucktard. I have everything I'll ever need. Believe me I had no reason to want to be dead. I enduced hypogonadism and I did then not want to be alive. You have no idea because YOUVE NOT LIVED THROUGH IT. So keep licking scallys ass you little brown noser. Hahaha
