Also important to use alcohol wipes to sterilize the vial/injection site.

I use one alcohol wipe to wipe down the top of the vial, then a separate alcohol wipe to sterilize the injection site I'm about to pin.

Sterilizing both is equally important in reducing the risk of contamination.
