Bit out there but any of you know any travellers who bodybuild on the go?

Like the title says, I'm looking for a couple travel experts to follow in my free time who also keep up with their gym life. Any recommendations?
Kind of like the coming together of two very different worlds, but these are 2 of my favourite hobbies! Will be happy with any blogs insta/ socials. I already follow a couple of each kind but none that cross the boundary. Anything with interesting facts, travel expertise & advice is a bonus

I travel to new cities every 13 weeks. I do my best to hit the gym at least 3-5 times a week...Im no mass monster but look decent for a silver haired senior. You can travel and lift easily, the problem arises when trying to find angood gym. A lot of commercial gyms have memberships that let you use gyms in various cities which is nice. Most of the gyms like that have a basic setup so you know what youre getting before you go.

I had to adjust a lot when travelling in Asia 6 years ago.

Honestly I see usually that couple travellers, well... Dudes are always small. Like very small...

And I seen why.

Back in 2017/18 I travelled (without a fixed address) across Turkey, India and Kazakhstan and Russia.

The main issue wasn't finding a gym, I always found either a big commercial gym or a local spit and saw dust one in some hidden corners.

The MAIN issue was nutrition and being able to eat my meals.

Most tourists accommodation don't have much equipment to cook and often have micro fridges so batch cooking is a hope but mostly won't happen..

Also walking around miles and miles a day exploring burns a ton of calories and in many remote places you lucky if you have a supermarket.

It was a total nightmare and in 4 weeks in India I lost 20 Lbs..

I love travelling but I found that I'd rather visit a place, back home to my routine, visit another one (short time) then back again.

Travelling for month was a disaster for my diet, first I lost way too much weight and size and then I got fat for the first time in my life.

Of course I fixed it all once I was back stable somewhere but is very hard to establish a routine while constantly on the move.

Not to discourage you, just food for your thoughts as people mostly think about finding a gym when travelling and often overlook the nutrition requirements nightmare (if you eat 6 times a day or more for example)

Thanks for the info! Can I ask if you post about it whatsoever? I travel a lot too and it would be cool to see some gyms recommended in different cities across the world. Gotta love the prices when travelling in asia for instance, and I travel a lot in Europe and largely Spain, they got some gyms across the whole country and even in neighboring ones which are cool for an easy find. The alternative is hopping on Google maps and scrutinising some pictures

Not at all bro, appreciate the level of detail in your message. I've also travelled across India and you quickly start to eat like a local - which is a hella lot of veggies and not a lot of meat (not that this is the only source of protein, it just helps for a quick easy meal). I too lost a hefty amount of weight and noticeably muscle too.
I used to be a lot more obsessed with it, but my attitude now is that it's somewhat of a blessing to be able to travel, and a trade off for some muscle/ weight loss is an understandable one. If I'm paying to travel and see these places then I don't want to be spending a large chunk of that time inside a gym. Maintenance is key for me here with once a week staving off the worst of the losses.
On the travel and gym point, I've been following a guy for years called Facts and Footsteps who did both. But as his following grew I think the gym took a back seat, now he just posts interesting travel facts and is more of a travel guru/ expert. The dude has definitely shrunk but sees some amazing things so there's the trade off I guess, I'm not looking to go that all in but does seem a bit of one or the other right now.

Im a travel nurse, stay mainly in the US. My go to anymore is Planet Fitness since they offer a membership that lets me use any facility, anywhere. Not a hard core gym but gets the job done.
