Blood Pressure

horrible BP genes in my family. My old man was diagnosed with HTN at 21 and I at 22.
On telmisartan 120mg
Amlodipine 5mg
HCTZ 25mg
Cialis 5mg
Hawthorne Berries 1g
4-6 cloves of garlic
LISS x5/week (religiously) for 25-40min/sessions

HR is high 40’s when sleeping, mid 50’s during the day.

I check bp only when I’m laying in bed at the end of the day. If I check during the hectic days I have- when running around for hours on end, I average 140/60. At night I’m around 126-130/60.

also it definitely takes a few bp measurements consecutively to get down there. Must have some white coat syndrome/anxiety when I even check it myself.

Your HR seems pretty low. What's your age/weight?

27, 188. Athletes heart rate I imagine. Have been an avid runner for the last decade.
So much for running lowering blood pressure . . .

I did not even know they would prescribe 120 mg of telmisartan. I thought I read that 80 mg was the maximum.

Yeah it’s pretty crazy. I’ve found that LISS/running hasn’t done shit for my BP personally. Nor does garlic/celery bs (still use em both though lol).
As for the telmisartan, you’re correct. I get 3 month prescription for 80mg, but I cut one in half to make 120. Last 2 times my prescription came in early so I’ve been able to increase the dosages without worrying about running out. Don’t notice much of a decrease of BP with the 40mg addition either, but can’t hurt to add it in.

Do you donate blood at all? Also I've been on nolva a little over a week now and I've noticed my bp is down a bit 115/68 this morning so perhaps give nolva try and see if it does anything for you.

Might try the Nolva here soon, appreciate that.
As for donating blood, I’m a type 1 diabetic. Not sure if they’d allow me in there to donate. Maybe not tell them I’m diabetic and then the blood will automatically get discarded when it’s checked later on?

Not a disqualifier. You are good to donate.

You are a full grown man, so you make your own decisions, but I would want to research very carefully whether it "can't hurt to add it in." They usually have dosage maximums for a reason on prescription drugs. Find out what the risk is. Then you can run a risk/reward analysis for yourself and decide whether it is worth it. You already stated that the reward of the extra 40mg isn't much, but you should know the risk as well.

So I have been doing fasted cardio in the a.m. this week. Not everyday, but most days.

I found today I had a hard time this morning getting my heart rate up on the stepmill, which is usually not a problem. I use an "interval" workout, and my heart rate kept dropping below 120 every time the peak of the interval eased off.

Blood pressure today is only 129/61, and I did not just down two glasses of red wine.

;)

It's just one reading, which does not a trend make, but I found the combination of the lower heart rate while doing cardio and the surprisingly low blood pressure on the same day hard to ignore and worth commenting upon.
Blood pressure is on its way back up.

Two things have changed. (1) Feeling a little professional stress. (2) Started 1.2 iu of growth hormone.

It is difficult for me to tell which is the problem (if either).

147/87
141/86
149/81

Dammit.

Are you a smoker/drinker at all? How much coffee do you drink per day? Are you hitting cardio daily? It's most likely the hgh that's elevated your bp and in doing so it's hurting more than it's helping :(

Good call man, read some articles online and came to the conclusion to back off back to 80mg.

125/73, 60bpm today

It's been 2 weeks since I've had a test or mast shot and waiting another week then back on test-e 250/week for a while. Started 20mg dbol the other day for shits n giggles and may run it for a bit if it doesn't jack my bp up too high.

I've slacked on cardio the past 2 weeks so gotta kick myself in the ass and get back to it!

Due to swollen ankles problem, I dropped the amlodipine starting yesterday and restarted 2 iu of hgh (experimenting to see if amlodipine or hgh or combination of both causing swollen ankles - swollen ankles are already going away). Still on telmisartan (80 mg) and 5 mg Cialis. Reduced testosterone to 150mg this week. No cardio (busy work week).

136/73, 80 bpm
