Blood Pressure

I got a half decent Health Rider bike and I do 3-20 minute sessions currently. I watch YouTube astronomy/science vids and the time passed very quickly :)
Been catching up on Lex Fridman's podcasts lately. You should watch the one he recently had with Katherine de Kleer.

I have to take a combo of valsartan and norvasc. Each one by itself didn’t help much, but the two combined brought me down to 120/80. My bp had gotten out of control during Covid. Like 170/100.

Just adding a little more data to the thread.
Just to update you.

I had two side effects that I attribute to the calcium channel blocker amlodipine (norvasc). One is swollen feet and ankles, which I understand is the most common side effect. The other is visual disturbances, which I very much hope are not permanent. This is a less common side effect, but I saw enough folks complaining about it on the internet to know it is not so rare as to be unheard of.

119/74

I think lowering my cruise dose of testosterone is mainly responsible for the downward trend.

I removed one blood pressure medicine due to swollen ankles, added hgh back in, and reduced testosterone from 250 to 150.

I don't think dropping test by 100mgs(75mgs really)would have such a beneficial impact on bp, but I'm no so smart ape lol.

I'm VERY happy to hear you are doing better brother and hopefully your machine reads a bit high cause that would mean your bp is even LOWER ;)

I quoted somewhere above another person's post from another thread in which he had a similar benefit from reducing testosterone only 50 mg . . . derp, I mean the opposite, he increased from 150 to 200 and his blood pressure diastolic number went up about 7.

My reduction of testosterone was twice what his increase was.

Let's wait, though, and see. I have had low blood pressure readings in the past that did not stick around, even in this thread. Long term is what matters.

Hey I hope it sticks around brother, but just make sure you keep hitting that cardio daily, eat proper and limit salt.

I understood you were making a joke. I don't know anything about adderall or whether may2021 knows about amlodipine.
I just noticed in all the forums and online groups that the effects of being tired, issues with vision etc... disappeared, once ceasing the medication.

As stated above, stopped taking one BP med, lowered testosterone down to 150 mg (from 250) and added hgh. Resumed cardio again, too (2nd day in on cardio, which sucks, boring, hate it).

133/73, 73 bpm
Mental toughness! I used to struggle to get 20 minutes in. Now I do 30-40 every weekday morning. 18 ° incline 4mph. Just walking, helps keep me lean and my blood pressure numbers have been outstanding

I fucking rekt my knee just when I decided to start doing incline walking to see if it could help with reducing HR and BP. Fuck me, sometime I feel unlucky as fuck : /

Yeah cardio sux but long term it's needed especially for anyone that is planning to try to walk around with quite a lot of meat on himself. Need to keep the cardiovascular system in check

Man you be surprised walking on the incline really doesn't bother my knee, and I got a big problem with my right knee. I can't run at all and I can't really squat very heavy without it swelling up and hurting for a week or two. Give it a try and see I guess everybody's different but the knee pain that I have doesn't hurt walking on an incline

Yeah but my knee cap just went sideways few days ago, I'm at the moment impaired badly in walking or doing most normal stuff. I'll try maybe in 10-20 days if stuff gets better. At the moment I can't even train legs or walk up a stair without pain and looking like a retard.

I hope you are correct. The ankle swelling went away, but the visual disturbances are still here.

With most every prescribed drug, the resultant sides go away once you stop taking the drug regardless of the type: Some just take longer than others. With long term Adderall use, it can take a year or a little longer but they all go away.
