I'm thinking about making a spreadsheet showing macros and protein per cost... Might do it this weekend. Obviously, I can only do it for stuff in my locale...

It splits the crowd, man, that's for sure...No hate, but I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...that looks disgusting
Yea I didn't wanna say that since everyone has their own preference, but it did not look appetizing to me, but then again most of my meals are either ground beef and rice or shakes with real food blended into itNo hate, but I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...that looks disgusting
I'm a pussy when it comes to trying new dishes. I had to be tricked into eating cow tongueYou probably won't like the look of the beef hearts, then!
I'd try it. I'm not real picky when it comes to food. If it's edible and will make a turd I'm usually willing to give it a shot.
Truk, the metamucil is a must for me too brother.
I may have missed something as far as quality of fiber or amount of servings but I was looking at this stuff yesterday and it seemed ridiculous. It was like 2g fiber per serving recommending 4-5 servings a day. I buy Kroger brand fiber bars which are actually quite tasty and they have around 9g per bar, 5 bars a box for less than $2.1) metamucil, yes it is expensive
Wow. A fucking Quest bar has 7x that amount of fiber.I may have missed something as far as quality of fiber or amount of servings but I was looking at this stuff yesterday and it seemed ridiculous. I don't care for Metamucil. I get the Kroger brand powder. I didn't even look at Kroger brand powder. The powder would make it easier to get it in I'm sure and without adding excess calories, which would be good while cutting. I like the bars just because they taste good lol oats and chocolateI don't care for Metamucil. I get the Kroger brand powder. No taste.
Daily Chef 25lbs of rice $17.
227 1/4 cup servings. Lasted 6 months....last time.
So, I went to Walmart.com and the 180 dose (largest) can is $22.88. That works out to $0.59 for 14g fiber as in a Quest bar. You can buy a box of 12 Quest bars for $25, so $2.08 per bar. But you also get 21g protein and it serves as an on the go snack and relatively clean treat for my sweet tooth. Metamucil is neither of those. All said, I'd rather pay 3.5x for the Quest bar and get the protein and satiate my sweet tooth so I don't fuck up elsewhere. Penny pinching has its place. Value is often subjective re food. If I can't eat it, doesn't matter how cheap it is. If all you want is fiber though, and sweets aren't a problem for you, Metamucil is definitely the better bang for your constipated buck.7x's the cost too. Budget thread.
