PES membrane filters are not recommended. I think it is mentioned in this thread several times if I am not mistaken. PVDF type comes most recommended

Interesting—I’ve read that PES and PVDF are both top recommendations with the difference being PES can filter faster.

Thanks for that info @Iron Vett it’s new info for me. I’ve seen some reports from various manufacturers that state that data isn’t available for BB and their PES filters. Is there a study that has this findings?? Would love to dig deeper.

Yes. Those will work. I usually use the watman filters and I’ve never busted one accidentally but I’m not sure of the strength of the Millipore filters. Warm your oil a bit and take your time if you’re using a caulking gun

Actually I went and looked up the material data sheets from a few manufacturers to see which filters were recommended for our application.

Millipore bottle tops are GTG in my book. Never used anything but Watman for syringe.

Looks like the brake bleeder are in:

inches of mercury (in.-Hg) or millimeters of mercury (mm-Hg). Just wondering what to keep pressure at - will be using glass media bottles with Whatman Zapcap.

40.72in Hg is equal to 20 lbs vacuum. That should do the trick.

A word of advise I got whatman gdx syringe filters from medlabsupply an there were 2 that had the filter paper inside slightly rolled over leaving a opening an 1 other that had a crack down the side this isn't normal in my experience but always check the filters just cause there sealed an sterile doesn't mean human error can't happen an lead to an infection
