I was going to say not a chance of having a bitcoin ATM I live in PG but I googled it and we just got one a short time ago. I'm going to have to find some friends kid and take him there to walk me through this.



Yea I really think I did goof. So if I have a bitcoin amount and a bitcoin receive address I can get bitcoins from anywhere that sells them and from my wallet just pay?

Yup, as long as you have a bitcoin wallet you’re set. With the atm you won’t need a kid to help. It’s super simple. It will ask you how much you need to buy and alll it needs is your bitcoin wallet. Pay what it needs and it sends it to your wallet just like that some can scan your bitcoin wallet some you have to put the info in yourself. Super easy.

Ok, I am hoping I am doing this all wrong or this truly sucks. I am typically a CIM type of fellow, but a opportunity presented itself for getting something I have a hard time finding but the catch was I needed bitcoins.

So I broke down and set up this Electrum program that I guess is a wallet. So then I put in the amount for coins to purchase into a website and it was converted into US currency, by the time that was done I had just spent another $200.00 in currency conversion, and I don't mean just the conversion this was additional fees to take Canadian money and convert it, then use the US money to buy the bit coins. Ok, no sweat I committed to this transaction so going to take my lumps. Then to top it all off my credit card was declined. So I phoned the bank and was told that for about a week now my banks credit card division has made policy that their cards will not be able to but crypto currency.

I'm totally messing this up right?

At the end of the day I just need to buy some bitcoins then send them to a Bitcoin Receive Address can I do that in Quadrigacx or do I need to set up another wallet like blockchain?

You should be able to do that in Quad. Or email 3ml and emt him some cake for his BTC lol

Why not just use coinbase? Easy to use

So I tried Coinbase I'm not sure if the options are different if you register with ID but without the only option is using a credit card and the credit card company I use has banned any bitcoin transactions. So that one is out.

I used my visa debit card on coinbase , it’s as easy as it gets

If you register with ID you raise your limit from $100 to $250 a week (or maybe more). Much more convenient

I’m finalizing some details with a guy. I should have most of it ironed out by Monday. If I buy bitcoin in bulk I will get a good deal. If people want to buy bitcoin I’ll be able to beat any bitcoin ATM. Possibly coinbase as well by the time you pay the cash advance fee that most credit card companies are charging.

You should consider getting other currencies such as etherium, light coin or bitcoin cash. They are cheaper, much faster and accepted by most labs now. Network fees for bitcoin transactiooms have become very expensive

I will deal in any crypto currency...not just bitcoin.

For purchases of 1 bitcoin or above I will be able to beat spot price

the fee isn’t the most important thing to look at either. Different exchanges have different prices for BTC
Also not everyone wants a bank record of BTC purchases ;-)
