Wings - That is some strong natural gift...!
*** Sorry in advance for this HIJACK or A HIGHJACK. But wings threw that impressive video out there so I felt the need important.
.
Words of friendly advice. If you are like me and some budz that learn the hard way.. BE CAREFUL IF UP AROUND 35-40 years of age now...!
1. You are clearly gifted neurologically as well as muscle skeletal. That tends to have a negative effect in that you can walk up to a bench on any given day and plow out some weight. THE/YOUR NERVES DON'T FORGET. The issue is the muscles and tendons DON'T KNOW they are older or might quite no be quite as 'dynamic' as they used to be. We forget HOW MANY YEARS we trained these tendons to handle these loads back when we began lifting in high school..!
A good sign that your NEUROLOGICAL CNS Signalling outweighs physical preparedness is if when you return to the gym after a long layoff and your first day is your best for about a month or so just to get back to that first day point..! Many people do not possess this so if you think its normal,,, it is not -
be warned.
2. I am here to tell you that unless you have trained steadily all your life, there is about a 40% (I guesstimate) chance that you WILL sustain injury in any rash attempt to hit that 500..!
3. The injury can range anywhere from a strained/pulled muscle if lucky, to a ruptured pec-tendon-tear, to cartilage or ligament in the shoulder... AND GOD FORBID SPINAL...!
4. Warm up long and slow. Emphasize your warm up to the workout as reps with limited weight and look for the pump up as warm up sign to acknowledge ready. I recommend AT LEAST 4 sets min over 20-30 minutes / personally for me is even more..! Take big long high rep sets with CRITICAL to spend plenty of time just walking around chatting in a good three of four of these for warmup. Keep static and dynamic stretching in play but minimize.
5. And if indeed approaching 40, REMEMBER that
EVEN NONE of this renders you safe..! And injuries do not heal life they would in high school believe me.! What GH could possibly do is wonderz if happenz / I hear. But the damage MUST BE properly reparable for that the work if so. Be safe..!
*** THE REASON I TELL YOU THIS and ALSO OFFER AS A GROUNDING TO ALL READING as IMPORTANTLY PRECAUTIONARY
as not to go into psychic overload over that fine presentation is as follows..:
PLAIN AND SIMPLE - An injury will RUIN YOUR DAMN LIFE AT THIS STAGE OF THE GAME..! Many do not speak of this psychological phenomenon. But its a sad truth. You don't hear about it because the end result is usually that they are so overwhelmed by the pain and negative pshchological personal life consequences that they literally just fall off the face of the map when it happens..
(A) And for a lighter example, a buddy of mine that just went bat shit pumping chest back up and tore a tendon loose from a pec. While he got the best surgical care, and did recuperate in 3-6 months naturally - the long and short is that it retired him from that workout.. It was not all that important to him thought... Its actually two years later now that I think back...
(B) Mid case negative scenario, is that you loose your mind and start working straight bar with heavy weight
(big no-no for older guys/especially under-trained onez!). And perhaps as triceps and rack a damb elbow which will haunt you for MANY YEARS if not life. Or even take that straight bar overhead doing shoulders and perhaps
insanely go behind the head down to shoulder doing presses.
The dreaded shoulder injury IS THE MOST INSIDIOUS IN THE GAME.
This one will NEVER FREAKING HEAL SHORT OF TRACTION..! Really!!! And because we re-injure the bastard every damn night just trying to get some winks..
(C) Worst case would be you sustain a spinal mid-lower back, or even a C-Type neck injury..! (
be warned alwayz sneeze facing forward!!! No shit..!) But a spinal injury will humble yer ass to talking to God on a daily basis and essentially have you begging for him to take you..!
It is the most unbelievably debilitating lifestyle ending form of injury.! A lower back injury will flat out retire you from what you love - which is being strong and living as you now know it..! Once that happens it trickles down to the rest of you life just rendering everywhere/everything from not even wanting to go to work, to potentially impotent or incontinent if you got real unlucky on the wrong vertebra, to your wife now changing her views about you
(sadly its a fact as you are no longer he same man - they can't help it it's wired into them genetically!!). And the worst part being is that the UNSPOKEN is that CNS Spinal injurys are (3 Pronged) in that they are (1) a DIRECT injury at the backbone to deal with and care for always leaving you paranoid and cautious - You realize mortality
(not good for us "immortals"), (2) truly when someone says "back injury" they mean REPORTING OUT to where the nerves go. So you get to watch shit atrophy as you now learn to intricacies of the spinal column/CNS and WHAT nerves come form WHERE and do WHAT.., & (3) the nerve signalling actually REVERSE FEEDz BACK UP the spine and simply and truthfully will slowly DRIVE YOU INSANE. This failure of the electrical signal to flow on jambs back up to the brain causing a MYRIAD of shit ranging from HEADACHES - to inability to even think normal brain patterns/zombie-like - to flat out APATHY, LETHARGY, INSANITY and ANGER...! I find the last above as TRULY UNSPOKEN and really in a "Medical Science Sense" NOT EVEN ADDRESSED. Even Ortho's can not truly qualify and quantify this result and can only correlate and agree they see it as a result. Still you get treated like a potential Fibromyalgia patient and as time linger on that some othro office starting to question whether you are a simple drug seeker...!
Its crazy and you flat out find yourself left out in the cold to suffer alone..!!!
So just some healthy bro advice as I saw you mention that you were contemplating cycling as a first. DON'T LET THAT BE YOU - Or anyone else reading..!
On a last note DO NOT FORGET THE CREATINE...! There used to be a lot of negative hype around steroid communities uttering false claims like "who needs creatine when you got juice." THIS IS THE FURTHEST FROM THE TRUTH.
And for older guys the creating IS ESSENTIAL.!! I estimate it is equally as valuable to a 40 year old male in strength training/returning to - with consideration of anabolic steroids in the arsenal. But any age for that matter. You WILL almost double you gains if considering a basic testosterone/deca type cycle which is the entry way to go. Creatine alone took me over the wall of the 285 bench to the 350 range back in my younger day! And in 6 months flat..! You might consider just testosterone & Creatine alone as a primer cycle...! There are other new supplements out there today life DAA and DMAE, which are also fairly innocuous as far and negative side effects. Just don't forget the "up & up supplements" in any delusion anyone may have painted for you that "Steroids are a Superman Cape". They are not..! But they are a nice bolster to healing which equals growth..!
Good things..!
Here man this is one of the only older videos I have from when I was in hs (and fatter), but I feel it's only fair to show videos when I'm making claims. The first video is a pause bench with 350lb() and the second video was taken yesterday and shows how even though I'm weaker I can still hit 300+ ().
Also guys it is an account I never use, however I can't use my real account with all my videos, because they show my face and school. Thanks.
