Also, this police officer has to live with knowing he killed a kid. You don't think that may effect his life? His marriage? His career?

Some ppl have absolutely no idea what being in a position of public safety is like. You take pills in order to be able to sleep, many are alcoholics, ppl break down crying from something that happened 10 years ago that they can't get out of their head. I'm not trying to belittle the OP and his stance on this, we all have the right to our opinions, but I'm giving you the perspective of someone who might be in the position of an officer or public servant.

Super fucked up: two new female officers were murdered a couple weeks ago.

I don’t recall seeing more than a mention of it on any news network. Because it doesn’t foster division and negativity in the population.

What I did see publicized was some organization calling her photo racist and intimidating to black people becuase she was holding a thin blue line American flag.

I hate the media...only purpose right now is to create division.

Any cop that abuses power, or MURDERS somebody deserves to be punished like any citizen would. But more often than not they’re making decisions in life threatening situations I hope I’m never in.

I strongly agree about the media I don't understand how there bulshit is still around they try to seperate us into groups black,white,cops,citizen etc.an they try to pit us against each other so we fight eachother instead of uniting an dealing with the real problems in this country united we stand divided we fall an they will do every thing they can to keep us divided

Agreed, but you ever notice how the biggest fish they hook on this propaganda are ppl who don't contribute to anything? All of the most outspoken ppl, the biggest protesters, the biggest racists (and no, I'm not just talking abt white racists here) are usually ppl who don't work, sit around all day, or are college students who have yet to work a real job in the real world and pay their own way through life. It's always the ones that don't contribute who have the most voiced opinions on working class citizens.

All of these police shootings, why have they never been against regular working class citizens? Oh yea...its because ppl contributing to society aren't acting like thugs

Yup because most people who actually work an live a normal life don't associate with the guy that got shot wen fleeing the scene of a crime the ones who sit around an do nothing all day are friends with the people doing illegal shit that an there is just those college kids that wana run around with murder painted on them an they get the chance when these things happen

I think all kids should have to do one tour in a war. That will wake them up fast and give appreciation and understanding to having to make responsive decisions fast. Especially when one of your decisions causes your battle buddy to lose their life.

(The kid wasn’t carrying this GUN for no reason)....Tells suspect to stop, kid runs and gets shot. The kid was obviously a menice to society.

The cop already had a life or death situation on his hand upon arrival, knowing he was coming to a suspect in an alley regarding a burglary.

Easy for the mobs to just sit and blame the cop. The cop in the moment of adrenaline could have thought the kid turned, then shot.

What seems like a long time in a video is a split second second when in a potential fire fight or a potential threat. THE Thug HAD A GUN and was RUNNING.

He was responding to a car break in.He shot the kid in the back,running away at what looked to be a pretty good distance. He wasn't even close to being in imminent danger. Had he shot the kid getting out of the truck then ok but not how this one went down.

It's ok to admit cops fuck up, they're as human as the rest of us.

If the cop was not in immediate danger then how did the cops bullet manage to hit the kid? The cop was in immediate danger, he saw the kids gun, at any moment that kid could have turn and shot in a split second.

The pay is irrelevant. You take a job and agree to do the job just like the military.

Does this cop go around shooting people for no reason? I doubt it but he fucked up in this case and this is the one that matters atm.
