Day 30
Weighed in at 135.2.

I haven't done a "real" rest day in who knows how long, so I decided to give my body a little break. Hit the sack super early since I've been staying up way to late over the past couple weeks.



Day 31
Weighed in at 136.4.

Woke up this morning feeling so much more refreshed. I upped my dose back to 12.5mg per day because I've been feeling a bit lethargic over the last couple days. Not sure if it's in my head or attributed to lack of sleep. I guess I'll just stay at this dose because it was working for me just fine. Hardly any sides, nice strength gainz, and seeing body changing. Why fix it if it's not broken, right?

I broke my hip thrust PR and was able to do 310lbs. pretty easy. Well, not easy but I was able to get the full range of motion with each rep. Yeah baby!:)
If only I could squat and DL that much, ha.

I was a little nervous because I could tell that one of the jacked trainers at my gym was watching me while he was with a client. After he saw me do my set, he came up to me and gave me a fist bump while saying, "Damn!" Haha.

Sides: As I mentioned earlier, I've been feeling a little lethargic the past couple days, hair still gets a bit oily but nothing a daily shampoo can't fix, and painful pumps during workouts. My period has been much lighter than usual, but is still lasting just as long.

I haven't been consistent with taking Taurine, but need to change that ASAP because I feel like it's starting to interfere with my workouts. I'm still eating at a slight deficit and drinking about a gallon of water per day.

See your staying at 12.5mg. Guess you figured out how to slice and dice? Did wetting it help?

Those are very impressive numbers for any type of lift. One day I'll have to see what my max is on thrusters.

Thanks! No, I forgot about your suggestion to wetting it. I just split it like usual, and end up having to slice off crumbs from the bigger piece, lol.

Please do. My husband used to laugh at me until he tried them one day. He couldn't even get up 135 even though he can squat above 300. Let's just say he doesn't laugh about my hip thrusters anymore. Lol

The amount of sleep I need is the biggest change I've noticed as I've gotten old(er). I train as hard as I ever have but 6 hours per night used to be enough. I need a full 8 hours now if I can get 9 even better. One night getting less is fine but more than one consecutive and my numbers start to suffer.

Thanks.:) I would so love to be able to get in more than 7 hours of sleep, but even if I go to bed early, I automatically wake up after 6 hours. It's a little frustrating. If I'm lucky, I'll get a good 7 in.

I've been more diligent over the past month about using my magnesium spray and lotion before going to sleep, and it seems to be helping. Insomnia is a b*tch!

Hey! I'm already at the halfway point of my cycle, so it's go time. Definitely happy with the progress I'm making so far. We'll see what I can do with the next six weeks. Good to see you and thanks for stopping in.:)

I just ordered a supplement for sleep that is a mix of things I've had success with in the past. It's called hypnos by chaos and pain. I've enjoyed a bunch of there supps although they can be a tad pricey they are el primo IMO.

If you use discount code "Kraken" you save 30%. It was an old code they emailed me but the old codes always work for me lol.

Have you used it before or is this going to be a first try for you? The only other sleep aid I've tried besides magnesium lotion and spray is melatonin. It works, but I really dislike that groggy feeling in the morning, especially when I need to get out of bed to get my kid ready for school. I just want to lay there forever, lol.

No I haven't tried it before just thought I'd throw it out there since I literally paid for it and then got back on here and you mentioned sleep aids lol.

I forget what all is in it but I like that brand for other supps and it had like 3 or 4 herbs or supplements in it that I've tried before (melatonin was one, hops, valerian root i think, zma, l dopa) and liked for those nights that the green supplement isn't doing the trick :)

I can let you know my thoughts later, just thought I'd throw the code out while I was thinking about it.

The funny part is my little ones kept coming into the bathroom, asking me what I was doing. They were amused and a bit weirded out that their mom was sitting on top of the sink topless and flexing. Lol!

I don't think anyone should tell you to up your dose. That's a decision only you can make. Like you just said yesterday, " if it isn't broke don't fix it". Believe me, as a recovering addict my mind always tells me "more" when I don't need it. I think your fine. Your getting fist pumps, being accused of being on something and your breaking PRs every week. Sounds like your good to me.

Looking great. I laughed when I read about your kids wondering what the hell you we're doing.
 
Put your hands on your hips. Thumbs rotated outwards. Start with elbows in the rear most position so it's tight. "Curl" your elbows in and flare the lats as you come forward with the elbows. Fly Bat girl fly!

Re: upping the dose

I have about 30 lbs on you, and 20mg was really potent for me. I only did 3 weeks at 20mg and in those three weeks I put 30lbs on my squat. But I was chasing #s on the bar and as such I was training 8+ sets in the 1-3 rep range and doing a ton of reps in 70-80% of 1RM. I needed the higher dose to recover.

Your training and goals are more aesthetic based and as such I think 15mg is your sweet spot. No use upping the risk until you're eating and training for elite numbers and prepared for the explosion in size.

At 20mg, I saw lots of hair shedding, a jump in hunger, and at the end of three weeks, a weight jump of 5 pounds. I hadn't had weight gain until then. It hasn't gone down much post cycle, but I think I look better so personally I don't mind.

20mg is more advanced, risky, and in my personal opinion, unecessary for your size and type of training.

It's your first cycle. Just stick with your original plan and get a feel for it. There's always the next one to push it a little more.
