Did first PRP injection into shoulder / bicep

Hey guys, so idk if anyone really remembers me, I’m not that active here but I’m suffering from shoulder problems ever since I could remember, and recently both my shoulders are acting up which got me side benched for a solid 3 months already.

Currently using BPC+TB at 1mg per day, and 5iu of HGH.

Yesterday did my first PRP injection into bicep tendon and shoulder joint on my right shoulder and next week my left one.

I wanted to ask people who went through this process what was their results, obviously I’m doing PT and rehab and all that good stuff but that PRP is my last hail marry.

I would like to hear about how was the recovery process for you and what did you use during the process I’m planing on keeping the use of peptides and HGH but if there is something in addition you would recommend from personal experience I would love to hear, from what I understand I cannot train the injected site for a solid 2-3 weeks after injection so that mean only legs

General description of injury:

Right shoulder - bicep tendinitis and weak shoulder joint from rotator cuff injury back in 2019

Left shoulder - bicep tendinitis and superspinatus calcification with tendinitis

The funny part is, that those shoulders problems started after I got a back injury which caused me to NOT TRAIN FOR A SOLID 4 MONTHS, so only god knows why the fuck my shoulders got those problems from during this time I didn’t train anyway, life sucks.

Have a great day , and thanks in advance to anyone who took the time to even just read this :)

Hey man, I was dealing with patellar tendonosis for years from overuse (squatting and running primarily). I started getting cortisone shots once or twice a year to continue training, but obviously that's just a bandaid.
I was very hesitant to get a surgical procedure done, so decided to give PRP a shot. This was in 2018 if I remember correctly.
In addition to the PRP injections, the doctor poked a needle in to my tendons like half a dozen times. He said by creating all these small tears, it should help in the process of healing? All I know is that I had a hard time walking for like two weeks after the injections.

After about 6 weeks of doing nothing, my left knee felt amazing. No problems whatsoever, to this day. My right knee, on the other hand, started having problems almost immediately. I took a few more weeks off, and again, I was having pain in my knee.

I ended up leaving the weightroom and haven't been back until this year. I'm squatting 3 or 4 times a week now, and am able to squat without any sleeves or wraps which was not the case when I was actually competing. But I am only squatting a fraction of what I used to.

Did it work? I honestly don't know. I want to say that it definitely helped my left knee, but I can't be too sure with the right.

I know that sometimes cortisone actually is enough to heal an injury fully after the first dose, especially when followed up by a lot of light maintenance/accessory work in and out of the gym.

Hmm the method of poking the tendon is interesting and i kinda wish my doctor did that haha, but he didn't, he just injected the PRP into my shoulder from two locations, front of the shoulder and back of the shoulder.

I definitely feel the inflammation that injection created, even though it was way more pronounced the first 2-3 days, now its less, i really hope it will help as im so sick of not able to train ... the past 6 months were misery for me training wise ... i just finished an LGD cycle on June, was great, got back to only TRT and normal training, then i strained my back on freaking light weight bicep curls (what the actual fuck), was out for solid two months, then eased myself back into training for a whole month did half ass training and again strained my back when doing rear delts (fuck you back muscles), then again rest for a month, and right when i wanted to try and go back to training, my left shoulder got tendonitis from god knows what, and then my right shoulder got tendonitis from god knows what, and my neck is stiff for the past 2 months, fuck my life right ?

Also, how are you liking the peptides? Do you think they're aiding at all in recover?
def helping with inflammation but not as nearly as "healing like wolverine" as everybody always say .... im using those peptides for couple of years now and tbh they are just great to deal with inflammation nothing more imo ... oh and gut health, thats a big plus BPC has for sure.

To get rid of tendonitis you have to allow the pain to conpletely go away, no training at all. Then SLOWLY strengthen all the muscles around it, if you feel any pain doing a movement, dont do it, there are other movements. Eventually youll
be able to. To this day i will not jump, but i have and it was ok, but not worth it. But i can now squat fully. Just takes time.

Do bot do any movements that cause it any pain, also sometimes adjusting the way you sleep or do daily activties helps. Like i was holding my phone a certain way and it was actually causing elbow pain, i now hold my phone deifferently.

Do non weight movmenta in the begginning PT will know what to do. It just takes time, and go slow

I'm always wondering whether I should invest into a cheap Alibaba PRP kit that costs 400-500$ (that can go higher RPM) so will follow this thread. I also saw people using fast fans and fasten the vials with duct tape... I'm not sure if its capable of proper RPM.

Do you DIY? If so how do you make it?

Posture / alignment is very complex. I also knew after a while to fire every physical therapist who only treated my shoulder injury by doing shoulder movements only. Breathing , proper function of the scapula, alignment of the ribcage, rotational capacity of the trunk and the list can go on what can cause shoulder issues.

Also you can be deficient of something. MSM, minerals, selenium, etc. So make sure you give building blocks for your body along with proper PT and chemicals

Do you mind sharing your PT protocol?

Doing that as well

That’s what I’m currently doing, and if it hurts I stop, plus there is two kinds of hurt, the good one which is activating the damaged area after long time and letting blood flow, and the bad pain which is more sharp and focused that means you damaging the area again.

That exactly what I’m doing mate :)
Plus I used to sleep on my side, now only on my back to not put extra pressure on shoulders.

Yeah I’m doing two sessions with a PT a week and some rotations exercises at home

Yeah the procedure is super cool !
And no, I did it at a professional doctor clinic lol, I don’t think I’m capable of doing that myself, the way he intercepted the tendon with the needle was super weird he adjusted it while he was already IN my shoulder joint, BUT if you look in MESO you will find a thread of a guy which PRP DIY, I’m sure he can help you hahah.

Regarding PT protocol:
Twice a week at a professional PT.

One is expert in Japanese and Chinese acupuncture and sound wave therapy, usually doing acupuncture with him and working on ranges and other parts in body that relates to the shoulders, even legs and also the facia release.

The second on is more “hands on”, shockwave therapy to the shoulder, ultrasound therapy, and deep muscle alignment around the shoulder and scapula, chest and such, this my favorite session but very painful(in a good way lol)

Regarding what I’m doing at home, external rotation exercises, stretching, working on posture, now started scapula retractions exercises as well, and doing lots of cardio to flush any toxins from the body.

Regarding healing protocol:
500mcg BPC daily split into two injections
500mcg TB once in the morning
5iu HGH

And in general I’m on TRT, 115mg per week.

It sounds like you found a good PT, but I generally have not had good experiences with physical therapists.
In my experience, I'll show up to an appointment with the PT while the room is full of other patients. I'll get maybe 5 min of 1 on 1 with the PT, after which they put me to work doing exercises I could do on my own, then have one of their assistants massage or scrape my knees for 10 min. And then, of course, I'm hit with a $150 bill for the session.

I've had more success buying scraping tools for like 40 bucks off amazon and doing the exercises myself.

I would also like to add, my first cycle was a couple years before trying prp. It definitely reduced the pain in my knees and I was even able to squat without wraps or sleeves.
I'm definitely not a doctor, nor am I recommending this, but an interesting thought I'm having is if you increase your dose of TRT temporarily, maybe this would help with the recovery process? Just a thought.

To add more info, my first cycle was 500 mg test prop/week, and 25 mg winstrol/day.
