I had hope for Eddie, but no way man. He’s a monster. I’m pretty sure he’ll hit 800 raw.
Well I personally think eddy is a better power lifter without even competing. I think Julius only does push pull or bench only. I don’t think he squats. So Eddy would smoke him just on that alone
 
I was looking on Open Powerlifting the other day at his past meets and he's bench only.

Oh for sure, total-wise. But he wanted to race him to 800 BP. It’s just not possible lol. I mean, overall, Eddie is worlds stronger—no contest. But Julius is a phenom on bench.
 
Great shoulder session today. Hit a lot of PR’s. Shoulders are definitely getting strong.

Huge strict press PR today. Got to 185 for a double. Got the 3rd rep half way up, but couldn’t lock out. Also huge push press PR for 225.

Seated DB press

First time going higher than 80 overhead for DB’s.

Face pulls SS w/ Lat raises

could barely lift the 25s by the end of the session today.
 
You can do more if you set up that rep scheme for a max. Not bad for just throwing it in there as a top set
You’re probably right. Honestly, I had no intention of doing 225 today. I didn’t think I had it in me yet. But when 185 went up so smooth, I figured i might as well try it.
 
Another grind day. Felt like shit going in—only 4 hrs of sleep. Ah well, got it done. On a side note, what protein powder do y’all use? I switched from the super cheap AES to body fortress and the taste is really good. Anybody use casein (spelling?)

Leg press (2 sets close, 2 sets wide)

Didn’t feel like moving plates to the plate-loaded leg press, so I used the amateur one. It surprisingly felt harder than the other. I feel I worked my quads more.

Ran out of time. Was pretty much done anyway.
 
Do you guys subscribe to the whole fast acting / slow digesting mindset? I get most of my cals/protein from food, but was thinking of picking up some casein for a shake before bed. Wasn’t sure if it was worth it

Yes but fat slows digestion so theres ways to counter it. Mix with pb or almond butter etc. Cottage cheese is casein protein. That’s why a lot of bodybuilders eat it before bed. Personally I don’t find regular whey to be lightning fast in the absorption department. Whey isolate on the other hand feels like it’s in and out faster than Chinese food

I either do optimum nutrition gold standard or MP Combat

Can’t stand cottage cheese. Makes me wanna puke, lol. Good info tho. I genuinely didn’t know that fat slows digestion. I guess drinking it with whole milk would have the same effect?

Cottage Cheese with Frank's RedHot and salt and pepper is actually quite good.
