Failing First Tren Cycle

Have been lurking for a while but am new to the forum so want to first introduce myself.


Have been training since I was 16 completely naturally until just under 3 years ago when I was diagnosed with both Hypothyroidism and Hypogonadism which eventually resulted in me being prescribed thyroid and testosterone replacement therapy.

I had never even touched a pro hormone or steroid prior to my issues and it is still undetermined on what the cause was although there is some history of hormonal problems in my family.


I started my first cycle of Tren just under 5 weeks ago now and have to say, I’m not getting the results I was expecting.


Have kept a base of low test at 250mg per week along with

0.5mg Adex 3 times a week

and 0.5mg Caber every 3 days.


Started out on 50mg Tren Acetate for a total of 350mg per week (not sure whether to list the brand and source here?) which I increased last week to 70mg / 490mg per week.


I’m using the Tren to aid in cutting but was also hoping it would help me to build some muscle while losing fat.


My body fat has lowered but only to the point I would expect simply from dieting, perhaps slightly faster.

Strength has gone up slightly on some lifts but these are lifts that are quite new to my training program. Lifts such as bench press which I perform regularly seem to have stayed pretty much stagnant with just 1 or 2 reps here and there.


I do occasionally feel like I’m ‘on’ in that I’ll have a night or 2 where I struggle to sleep and maybe get some sweats which generally result in me looking harder and more vascular so I think its kicking in but then I just go back to normal and basically feel the same as when I’m on my standard TRT dose.


It’s almost like I get a couple pins of Tren which are dosed properly and then the rest are just nothing or at least minimal.


Was really expecting to see some major changes from this cycle so am disappointed to say the least.


Has anyone had a similar experience or able to offer some advice? Should I up the dosage again as I seem to be getting next to no sides?


One thing that may be worth noting is that a load a week’s worth of insulin pins with Tren so that its quick and easy to inject in the morning. I do the same with my testosterone with no issues but could this be causing the Tren to lose some potency? Would be very surprised but thought it worth mentioning.


Really appreciate any thoughts on this.

Weight is now down to 80kg

Dont really like to say a body fat percentage as people almost seem to way underestimate on forums but I have veins running through my lower Abs so that gives an idea.

Have replaced normal Squats with Single leg Squats with rear leg on bench as they just seem to suit my body type better and have lead to more consistent progress.
Last session I done 85kg for 5 sets of 6 on these.

Last bench workout I done 120kg for 5 sets of 5 which is still lower than my best pre TRT.

Average calorie intake has been around 2500 for this cut although I do find I get cravings for loads of cereal and bread since starting Tren.

Same thing kinda happen to me. Never touched AAS until I got on TRT at a young age.

You SHOULD have veins in your lower abs... Wtf are you cutting for? I'm 7" shorter than you and outweigh you... And I have ab veins!

Increase your calories and put some muscle on. You're supposed to eat like a horse on tren! Especially as much as you're taking..

Most people say Tren is not great for bulking so what's your thought behind this?

Honestly I've noticed I look better for a couple days after I binge on high carbs so am wondering if there's actually something to what you're saying and the compound would work better with more food?

Agree that most people suggest tren isn't really for bulking, but you're already stupid lean, so bulk!
Since you're running test with it anyway..
And you look fuller after high carb binging because your muscles are filled with glycogen... That's a good thing..
 
But if I'm not getting the benefits of Tren I could potentially risk just putting on a substantial amount of fat.

I want to get to the bottom of why I'm not feeling the effects of Tren before I jump into a bulk.

My idea was to use Tren to lean out whilst gaining muscle over the rest of the summer but it just doesn't seem to be working out right now.

Could really do with some educated responses rather than just that I need to bulk.

Well for one it seems that you were expecting tren to magically make you shredded and strong. Tren A at 350/wk does this for me, but nutrition plays a huge roll in it. Unless your tren is bunk, but even then, when my diet is spot on I feel amazing energy.

Have your tren tested. If it comes back good, then fuck it. Tren isn't for you. If it comes back bad, well there's your answer.
 
Tren affects me similarly. At 350 a week I had no sides. At 525 a week my cardio is effected, I can't sleep as much as normal, and I am irritated as fuck with the littlest shit. I feel a bit numb/ non sympathetic. I have lost weight and lifts have stayed the same, although I am working out with very high volume low rest. Cardio everyday. My diet is at a deficit 500 to 700 cals/5 days a week and 2 days 100 cals over maintenance.

I wanted to cut with this cycle so I went all in. I didn't expect to gain muscle.. I want shredded abs and quads. The whole lose fat while gaining muscle makes no sense to me. People have reported those results from tren but I don't plan a cycle around it.. it's cut or bulk. I know the tren has kept the muscle on me while I have worked very hard to shed fat.. no doubt it is working. I don't look at it as a magical drug though.. just an aid to my diet and training focused in to reach my goals.

The part that confuses me is that I sometimes feel full of energy and "on" like you've said but then the majority of the time I just don't feel it. Could there be some kind of absorption issue going on?

Lol. You're injecting IM? Then no. Just because you don't notice negative Sides doesn't mean that a drug isn't for you. Clearly you aren't noticing the positives.
Again. Get your tren tested.

Perhaps I have overestimated Tren after all. I approached this cycle similarly to you in that my main aim was to get lean without any negative impact on my muscle mass which to save me looking like a rake! It was just reading through other people’s cycles where they have recorded huge gains in muscle while losing fat that I thought I would be able to pack on some significant muscle at the same time.

Just out of curiosity, how long did you run Tren for and how much weight did you lose over that time?

I actually started off injecting subq to save on scar tissue from the daily injections but have switched to IM the past week for fear that I may not be getting the full benefit.

Is anyone able to recommend a lab for testing in the UK? What would the cost be and would I need to send a full vial?

If the cost is significant it almost seems worth just buying from another source.

You won't grow with just 2500 calories. I'm 6'3" and used to be your weight, now I'm 225-230... you MUST eat. 3500 calories at least. While grains, rice, milk, lots and lots of protein, peanut butter.

Do not go out and buy some bullshit "gainer" shake. F that crap. Get some whey, whole milk, peanut butter and a banana. Much better and it's real food.

The goal of the cycle was not really to grow but thought that would be a nice added bonus. I really just expected more recomp effects when cutting whilst on Tren
