Franchise24 training log 2016/2017

technique is so important in the deadlift. any time ive falled after ive broken the floor it is mostly because of technique. whatever i can do to help.
I'm pulling again on Saturday I'll record it and send it to you via pm. It's competition pull Saturday.

3 Count Paused Squat:

  1. Bar 1x10
  2. 135 1x5
  3. 225 1x5
  4. 315 1x3
  5. 365 1x3
  6. 405 3x3 RPE 9.5

Reverse Band Squat:

  1. 505 1x3
  2. 550 2x2 RPE 9
Leg Press 4 plates each side:
Close Stance 2x20/ Wide Stance 2x20

Leg press there was no rest between the switching of foot positioning. Once I hit 40 I took 30-45 second rest and continued.

@theprodgicalson I contacted pioneer I ordered two belts. I ordered a 3" 10mm belt for deadlifting and I'll give a try during bench work. I also ordered a 4" 13mm belt for Squats. Both lever belts. I got a little fancy and got some color to them. The 3" 10mm deadlift belt is blue outside red inside. Sticking is red and lever is red.

The 4" 13mm belt is the reverse colors of the deadlift belt.

I've ordered from them before. But I spoke with Kimberly and super sweet lady. Customer Service top notch. She went line by line after I placed the order to double check everything was correct. And I was given a military discount.

I can't wait to get the belts. Especially after hearing that the SBD belt aren't truly 13mm. I feel like SBD ran a Ponzi scheme with those belts. Lol. None the less. I've gotten use to wearing the belt. So when I get my new ones in I wont go through that learning curve as bad.

Awesome man. Excited for that! Yeah, in my breif experience with the company, super helpful people. Matt wants to try and get enough money to pay to be IPF approved, but I guess it's quite a chunk of change. After hearing about that, and how the IPF treated a guy that lifts in the masters division that was going to world this year, not a fan of them at all. They did the guy at my gym DIRTY

That's shitty. Seems like IPF is the gold standard. Many of the companies that make equipment have some IPF approved gear. Most be a nice pay out once you get on their list.

Yeah I beleive they're the biggest. They're supposed to be the strictest also. But judging from all the belts pioneer tested they're just in it for the big pay out of fees to be IPF approved

Tonight planned workout was Comp deadlift, 3 count paused bench then Reverse Band Deadlifts.

I had to drop the bench session completely. My left shoulder and left elbow as well my wrist just felt week. It all felt tweaky. I worked up to 335 for 3 count single and felt like shit. Then I dropped to 315 and elbow and shoulder felt the same. So instead of risk injury I scratched the bench session.

Competition Deadlift:

  1. 135 1x5
  2. 225 1x5
  3. 315 1x3
  4. 365 1x3
  5. 405 1x1
  6. 455 1x1
  7. 455 1x3 or 2x3 RPE 8 I'm sure I could have knocked out a few more reps. But focus was set up technique agd form.
Reverse Band Deadlift/Medium Green Band:
  1. 405 1x3
  2. 495 1x3
  3. 525 3x3 RPE 8
Deadlifts felt much better today. I know my technique was better and I was tight locked in with my lats, hammies and glutes. Warming up with 135 as soon as set up and locked in the bar came off the ground. As the weights increased I know the slack was pulled out of the bar, because no clicking sound was made when I started to pull.
 
Having some technical difficulties attaching the vids. I emailed to myself. I will try to attach them from my computer tomorrow.
 
If you see the background I had all my stations set up. The weights by the bench, the bands on the rack for reverse band deadlifts. Bench had to be scratched due to my left elbow and shoulder feeling weak and tweaky. No pain just weak.

I hope you get that elbow and shoulder straightened out.
