I haven't lifted in it yet just showed up but I've worn a lot of different belts and hands down this is the best and most comfortable I've ever worn and the way it latches you can get it to the perfect tightness I'm expecting some PRs because of this puppy very soon
DAMN that looks clean! Why stop at wearing it just to lift in? Own that sum bitch at the club.lol I need a belt I'm getting tired of smelling the community one I use at the gym. When will this be out for people that don't have a hook up or is it already?

Depending on country it's out for pretty much everyone now as of July 15th in Canada you could order is from innerstrengthproducts.ca if you are in the states you can order it from andersonpowerlifting.com but just a heads up this is the most expensive belt on the market by a fair bit and if you aren't a gear whore like myself or someone that needs/wants something this high quality then there is tons and tons of other belts that are amazing, inzer makes a lever belt that is 1/3 the price and would last most guys forever. I am a SBD brand whore so I needed his cause I have every product they make

Yeah I honestly just need a belt that doesn't smell like cheese:(

Then I'd go with a 10mm lever inzer belt they are great quality I used my inzer for 2 years makes a huge huge difference wearing a proper belt too. It'll be the best bang for your buck cause I know I love SBD and am incredibly picky with what I use but for 99.9999% of people they don't need to spend 350bucks on a lifting belt that is only 5% better then a 100dollar lifting belt. It's just my thing and I needed to bring the review to meso so this stays well rounded

Does a belt actually improve your lift, or is it more a safety thing? I've never worn one but I've been thinking of getting one.
worn correctly it helps you create more interabdominal pressure stabilizing you during your lift and giving you the ability to push with maximum effort so yes would help. Worn incorrectly and used incorrectly though I.e relying on the belt for pressure and not your proper valsalva breath and core contraction you'd actually be putting yourself in a riskier position

It DOES look cool lol.
I already do the valsalva maneuver and that seems to help a bit even if I almost pass out haha. It's kinda the same with a belt right?

You need to practice your valsalva when you say you feel like your about to pass out it makes me think you are holding the air in your face and upper throat causing the black out and probably also eye ball popping feeling when going heavy. Even at my heaviest weights I never have that feeling anymore the belt just secures it even better.

Hmm, I think you're right. I just did it (without weight mind you) and it feels like the air is getting pushed from my gut upwards.

Don't listen to RT man. You should pass out on your last set everytime.

Ever hear of AMRAP? Stands for "as many rep as it takes to passout." ;)

Ya you should have the opposite feeling you should be pulling your diaphragm down. If you are interested I know some videos that can help your technique just pm me I don't want to fill this thread too much with none gear related stuff. Keep it stream line yo

Damn eman why you gotta let everyone know I'm a hack! I'm trying to build an Internet persona based off lies here!:D

Okay and now for some real stuff here. SBD belt has been used 3x now and it's flawless I love it I am so happy I made the purchase. But in other news I bought a new belt :p to compliment my other belt. It's actually for my Olympic movements as using a powerlifting belt for those doesn't work so well.

This is the 2poon night rider crossfit belt. I didn't mess about with this one I went straight to see what top level crossfit guys were wearing at the games, it was either the 2poon metcon or the 2poon night rider but of their own design so it's got their name instead of night rider. To my absolute suprise it cost 50 bucks o_O top level gear not making me have to sell my first born is foriegn to me so I was sceptical but ordered. I just recieved it and have tried it on and will be testing it fully on snatch tonight and deadlifts tomorrow for shits and gigs but from intial thoughts I would feel 100% comfortable attempting my 1rm Max on squats with it:eek: ya this Velcro belt is incredibly robust and has a lock click system that holds it harder at the buckle the harder you flex against the belt. More review later but I'm actually flabbergasted by how amazing the quality seems and how solid it feels

That makes sense. You only recover while you sleep after all lol.
