Gear review

Ya you can wear a single cuff without any issues to your benching style

Okay, I wasn't sure. I can't imagine wearing one knee sleeve is why I asked. I'm going to pick one up eventually. I have pain that comes and goes in my right elbow. It was creeping up a couple weeks ago, but no pain during yesterday's heavy session.

If i had to do it over i would have gotten a pair, but to be honest i don't notice it once some weight is on there. If i had to i have two compression bands i could pick from to slap on the other arm if i was dragging or something. I'm trying to limit how much gear i have to wear if at all possible. The wife already calls it the old man gear when i put on the knee sleeves and one elbow sleeve. Really no defense for it in here eyes, i'm just getting old and broken down. I just explain it is to keep me from getting more broken down.

Alright, @RodgerThat sorry for the delay on this.... review of Mark Bell's Strong Series Belt. I'll try to be as detailed as possible.

Here we go:

It is a 10mm belt and I believe it's XL size. The whole gimmick behind this product is that it comes already broken in... and it absolutely does. I took another picture to possibly give an idea of the flexibility to it and this was the same right out of the box:

Most of the other cheaper belts I've bought would have wanted to open back up... they were always a pain to put in gym bag but this belt wraps up and stays that way.

It hasn't cut into me at all, pretty comfortable although, belts are usually not the most comfortable item, this one feels good other than keeping a pretty tight grip. Definitely no leaving it on between sets.

I accidentally got the thicker belt first time around. It did cost me a restocking fee equal to the shipping cost to send the fucker back too, which I did not appreciate especially since I now have another separate item I want to exchange. Anyways, the thicker belt was not nearly as flexible. It was a heavy duty fucking belt lol. Something, possibly, that might be something to have just for meet day for a slightly better edge? However, the one I have now I found to be a lot better. The thicker one was much stiffer and would have required some breaking in.

This was an expensive belt... much more than I've paid for any other piece of gear. I think it was about $120... Thicker one is $130 or so.

It was really worth the money in my opinion, although this is also my first "real belt" so I don't have a ton of equal comparisons. I'd really recommend it to anyone if they wanted to have a nice belt. I honestly feel that this belt is rugged enough to last.

Okay, shilling complete. :)

Worth the wait my man thanks for the review! These are the kind of reviews I wish you could find everywhere but I guess meso is just the best

Honestly, all of the products I have from MB are really great. I have quite the collection of stuff from him as well.

The only complaint I really have is that the sizing chart that they use is a tad sketchy at times... I have had to return items that I ordered exactly per there sizing chart but I have to pay to send it back and reorder.

The wrist wraps are also spot on, but I think I read a review on here of them towards the beginning.

So, Ive used the Sabo Deadlift shoes for about 3 deadlift days so far. Skwaats also.

As for someone who's deadlited and skwaated barefoot for years, I'd have to say this was a good investment.

Quality seems decent, nothing extordinary though. What I like the most about the design is the strap up top. It's important to have some support on the lower part of the ankle and this does just that, also gripping into the floor is very important for deads, Im able to plant my feet and actually feel the grip contact between the floor and me. The strap around the middle of the foot is also a great design. So doing skwaats I noticed this come into play specifically, so when you skwaat you want to twist your feet into the floor like screws to open your knees and hips up. With a normal shoe your feet tend to move IN the shoe first then the shoe turns. Or with being barefoot the grip contact to the floor would be awful so I would almost always move the end of my foot if I would get to into the workout. Well the middle strap took care of that completely, I might as well been cemented into the floor.

Great shoes. Def worth the money.

My only must-have is my harbinger leather lift straps. I've broken both wrists in the past and sometimes have some grip issues. The clay at the end of the strap is a godsend.

For those that use foam rollers, what kind do you recommend? I've been looking at Amazon and they have several types made from different materials. I'd be using it mainly for sore or cramped muscles.

Get a rumble roller one with bumps all over it. Not the spiky bumps you wouldn't be ready for that those ones leave bruises but the ones with round bumps on them.

That's the one you want

This one helps tear fascia and break down scar tissue it's significantly better for recovery but can hurt like a bitch and leave a lot of small bruises

I haven't lifted in it yet just showed up but I've worn a lot of different belts and hands down this is the best and most comfortable I've ever worn and the way it latches you can get it to the perfect tightness I'm expecting some PRs because of this puppy very soon
