Gear review

Pioneer Fitness at Weightlifting Belts • TherapyZone™ by Pioneer Fitness • General Leathercraft Mfg. appears to now be selling the knee and wrist wraps that APT carries, most importantly, the Strangulator and Convict versions.

I have used most brands but nothing compares to the versions APT was putting out. It's a shame APT isn't conducting business regularly enough to wait around for them to come back from wherever they went.

I just ordered a replacement set of wrist wraps. I also ordered a bit of a custom made belt since they are making them there. Yeah, extravagance. A fool and his money and all....

I am waiting for my strangulator knee wraps from APT, since last April. SMH. This should work just as good. Eric Lillibridge is using these knee wraps.

Pioneer has a set of wraps with Lillibridge's name on them. Not sure how they can be better than the strangulator and convict... but just so you are aware.

Elitefts is selling them as well. I also saw Eric wearing them in one of his youtube vids. Thanks.

Thats what Im looking at. I figure with that, a barbell, and a bench I could at least get my home gym started. Just wanna see if its legit for the price.
Would be nice to hear some reviews. How long of a guarantee do they offer? I'm waiting to move into my new house to start getting gym equipment for the basement.

I am very familiar with Rogue. All of their equipment is solid. Expensive but well put together. I now have 3 Rogue bars, the Ohio Power bar, the echo bar and the Ohio Deadlift bar. They are all very good.
How do the rogue bars compare to the Texas bars?

The Ohio Power bar is very similar to a Texas Power bar. Ohio is a couple of inches longer. They call the knurling aggressive but it is really about medium which is where it should be for an all around training bar.

The only thing I would change was I ordered it in bare steel instead of with the black coating and I have some moisture in my basement which causes some bar discoloration. Purely cosmetic but I still wish I would have gone the other direction.

I have a lever belt but you need to unscrew it to adjust it.. the sbd has holes already where it attaches to the other side of the belt so no need to screw for adjustments

Can anyone suggest a good singlet? Are they all created equal or are there any beneficial traits to one brand or style over another? They all seem really similar, some being compression and some not. I wanted to get a custom one but quickly realized that I don't even know anything about these, never mind getting funky with custom shit.

You'd have to look at the rules of some powerlifting federations on what's allowed. They go into great detail in the rulebooks.

Raw- You cannot wear any supporting gear such as super suits or multi ply clothing. It must be an individual full length article of cloth fabric . No bench press shirts, squat/deadlift suits powerlifting briefs of any kind. A wrestling singlet is suggested. Spandex pants/shorts may also be worn.

Belt, Wrist/knee wraps are acceptable as long as they meet our specifications.

Glad you told me to look. Looks like I don't even need a singlet at all. That takes all the fun out of it though lol

That's unusual. What federation is that?
