Gear review

Got my Donnie Thompson Formal Bowtie this morning. And got the Pioneer Phantom Knee Wraps and the Pioneer Lillibridge Knee wraps this afternoon. I didn't get to use the knee wraps, they arrived after my workout.
I used the bowtie for Barbell Overhead Press, Squats and Deadlifts. I didn't deadlift much. My buddy got his Rogue Deadlift bar in today so I just gave it a go with 225 for 5 reps.

My thoughts on the Bowtie after first use. Definitely pulls your shoulders into proper alignment. For squats with low bar squats I didn't feel any pressure of pain in my shoulders from low bar squat and it definitely reinforced keeping tight. I order an XL because large cuts off at 225 and I am hovering close to 225.View attachment 65385
I'm interested in this bow tie you speak of. Scale of 1-10 how good of a piece of equipment is it? Would you say it's the equivalent to a slingshot for your bench? How long could you wear it for if you wanted or is it too uncomfortable to wear between sets?

I have the casual bow tie. You could wear it for hours if you wanted. @franchise24 has the formal, which is stronger. I am sure he will chime in.

It is a tool to increase bench. It's a tool to help keep your shoulders aligned properly. I was able to wear through a few sets of OHP's and squats. You can definitely feel it pulling your shoulders back into alignment.

So on scale from 1-10 for its purpose I'd give it about 7. Bring that I only used it once. I plan to wear it everyday for a few hours, wear it during workouts. After about a month I can give a more thorough review.

I got an XL. Large cuts off at 225. I'm hovering close to 225 now. XL goes from 225-285 I believe.

So I could wear it for 2hours if I wanted to? I'm trying to decide if I should go for the casual or the formal. I want to wear it for heavy deadlifts and Olympic lifting and also when I ride my motorcycle

I'd get both the casual and formal then. Get the formal for heavy deads and Oly lifting and the casual for riding on your motorcycle. I'm going order another formal bowtie one size smaller for heavier sets.

Just Aussie. I ordered them last Sunday got them today. I also got the true cast knee wraps and elite knee wraps.

The shipping is more than the wrist wraps so it makes sense to order more things.
Yeah that's why ordered 3 items. I will be ordering more. Their 9mm knee sleeves are said to blow SBD sleeves out the water. But they are 2mm thicker.

Best wrist wraps I've used by far. Harris Stability Systems True Cast wrist wraps.View attachment 65578
Let give a better review of these wraps other than that they are the best I've used.

I'll compare two wraps. Sig Gold's and Harris Stability Systems True Cast.

Sig Gold's stiff cast like wrap but the Velcro strap isn't long enough. So most of the strap trends to stay in contact with wrist wrap and not the Velcro. Causing the wrap to slip and loosen up.

Harris Stability Systems True Cast Wrap: I love the orange color black stripes, just as stiff as the Sig Gold's maybe a little less. Velcro Strap is long. So there is no slipping or unraveling of the cast. And they are truly cast like. And pretty comfortable.

I give the edge to Harris Stability Systems True Cast Wrap.

If Titan can make the Velcro Strap longer then this would be tough review.

@franchise24 I really don't like you... telling me about the bow tie so of course I had to buy one and where else then from rogue Canada cause they always send me free shit with orders but that's not why I don't like you.... it's cause I had racked up a huge shopping cart while on rogue and now my bank account doesn't like me so I have to pay the dislike forward:oops:

But seriously thanks for the heads up and details about the bow tie I think this is going to help huge for me working on my thoracic spine issues. I bought a formal in large cause I'm just a wee guy at 190lb and figure even if I'm on the smaller side of it should be fine for my purposes
