Gear review

I'm right in the middle of the range for large and I'm average height. I'm fairly wide though. I guess worst case I can send it back for the right size. Seems like they should cover shipping since i followed their chart.
I think you'll be fine you aren't nearly as barrel chested as me and that's why It's tight, but it also isn't too tight just a small thing I noticed is all

All right finally able to get to the this gear review. What I will be reviewing are:

  1. Nike Romaleos 3
  2. Harris Stability Systems True Cast Knee Wraps 2.5m
  3. Harris Stability Systems Elite Knee Wraps 2.5m
  4. Pioneer Lillibridge wraps 2.5m
  5. Pioneer Phantom Knee Wraps 3m
  6. PowerBelly Death Row Knee Wraps 2.5m
Nike Romaleos 3. First thing you will notice is that they are lighter than the 2's. They are also more flexible. From my first use of them on Monday they still hold as solid of a foot plate as the 2's. I also love the one metatarsal strap mid-foot. Feels more secure for me.
Grade A

Monday was squat day. I worked up to 455 3x2 with sleeves and belt.

I then went with the Lillibridge wraps 2.5m. I have no wrap Roller. But these are a bit stretchy so I hand rolled them. Then I wrapped my self.

I was able to a double at 475. Not my favorite wrap. Good wrap for those that like rebound and ascend pretty fast.
Grade B-

Next up Harris Stability Systems Elite Wraps 2.5m: This wrap had some stretch, not much though. Now mind at this point I wasn't rolling the wraps up. I just wrapped my knees with the wraps unrolled.

This wrap was one of my my favorites, but not the favorite. Tis wrap fits my squatting style perfectly. I put 495 on the bar and hit it for an easy single. At this point my fingers were bleeding all over the place. From trying to get these wraps on as tight as I possible can and then tag them. I didn't notice until I got home.

Grade A-

Next weight jump was 505. These were done in the PowerBelly Deathrow knee wraps. Very little give, cast like wrap.
I hit 505 with ease, could have hit a double. I still had some sets to go with a few more wraps. So a single was good enough.

Grade A+

Next up Harris Stability Systems True Cast Wraps 2.5m. Weight on the bar was 535. I felt this confident with these wraps as I was wrapping them. These wraps are cast wraps very little rebound. 535 went up with ease. These wraps will stop you in the hole.

Grade A++

Last but not least. I know this is like comparing apples to oranges because these wraps are 3m and all the other ones are 2.5m.

The Phantom Knee wrap. Is a stiff wrap. Un forgiving to the backs of your knees. I only jumped 10 pounds to 545. At this point I was getting spent from lifting and wrapping myself. But these wraps holy shit. Hurt when you hit the hole. And you need some weight on the bar if you want to hit depth. 545 was about a 9.5 RPE at this point, and the wraps just killed the backs of my knees. Couldn't wait to get them off.

If they were a 2.5 I would rate them B+/A- I won't give them a rating due to them being 3m long.

I favor cast like wraps I don't like the rebound style wraps much, unless I plan to use them for rep work.

I wish Powerbelly would get back to me. You know any other phenomenal rebound wraps @franchise24? I've got regular Slingshot wraps that I get around 50lbs out of. I know there's better out there that add 75-100lbs though.

@Perrin Aybara the Lillibridge wraps will give you what you are looking for. They seem to be great for how you squat based off of your videos. Powerbelly is a pain in the ass to get a hold off. It took over a month to get my shit even after he sent me an invoice and I paid. Titan THP's are good for you squat style.

I would say go Harris Stability Systems, yo will see a chart there. I believe any rap from the middle over the the right will do you justice. Just not the one to the far right.

I like the Harris Stability Elite wraps they are the wraps out of all the wraps that fit my style. If I had a wrap roller I would have gotten more out of them. They cast enough for me and provide some rebound.

For whatever reason I like cast like wraps. But I finished off my supplemental squats that day with the Lillibridge wraps. You can lay them semi tight like a knee sleeve and do rep work with them comfortably.

@franchise24 your reviews are good dude.

May I ask a favor for another review? I have Inzer Z 2.5 wraps. I'm assuming you've used them here. How would you review them? Thanks man!
I wish I could help you bro. I never used them. I believe they are real stretchy. If you roll those bad boys tight and get any tension out of them. You will get some insane rebound.

I like cast wraps, even though they don't truly fit my squat stance and speed of decent. But I am older and I need the stopping power. It gives me enough pop out of the whole to complete most lifts. Unless I try a 60 lb PR. lol

I don't agree with @RodgerThat w/o that strap on the back of this thing there would be no fucking way I could get it off. I got an XL and its pretty uncomfortable. Lol

This is the 3rd day I've worn it walking on the treadmill. Not sure what to think of it yet.
Use it for bench, deads, squats. Shit use for ever and any exercise. If you have to take it off between sets then that's cool. sometimes it gets to a point I have to take it off every 2nd set.

It feels really good during squats. But, my lower back gets sore quick. But, lol this week I did 5 sets of 7 on Tuesday and 6 sets of 5 today. It felt pretty good during deads and just ok while benching. It seems tighter on my right side, probably bc my shoulders aren't aligned right. Overall though I'm very happy with it. Thanks!

Washed it today, let it air dry, smells fresh now. Lol

When I use it to bench. I just give myself the mental cue of retracting my scaps. The bowtie helps with that as well. Especially if you are doing rep work. We tend to lose that tightness in the scaps.

Yeah it does. It doesn't really keep you tight while benching, but like you said its an excellent mental cue. I wear walking on the treadmill and a little while relaxing. Its pretty tight though my veins show, so that's cool.

Great reviews man. Do you like squatting in the nikes? I use a flat sole shoe. Never used one with a lift in the back. I tried using 2.5 pounds weights to stand on to simulate but it felt odd.

I love the Romaleos period. The Romaleos 3 are lighter but provide the same stability. I also like the one forestrap.

The Romaleos usually come with two insoles, one that is normal and the other that is stiff. I haven't switched to the stuff one yet. But with the last pair I had I switched immediately.
