Gym Shamming

You know what really erks me. When two bros stand around arguing about who would win a fight Mighty Mouse or Superman. I mean really.
There’s always a punchers chance. And who ever shows up that day has the best odds.
Now both of you, go pick up something heavy. And don’t forget to put it away after.

In all honesty, the answer is Superman.

Also, my heart is all sickly so I literally have nothing better to do today. Aside from entertaining random friends checking in on me instead of letting me sleep.

It's blah.

People doing lateral raises obnoxiously close to me, particularly when I'm in the middle of a heavy set of something like Db Press.

What?? Come on! You're loco. Mighty Mouse is undefeated. Superman loses like every second fight.
MM can use his agility. Sweep behind SM and rectal punch him then hide under his nuts. Tap out Supe. You puss.

Old people. Just old people in the gym, in general—they always do the most annoyingly obnoxious shit.

Half reppers really irritate me. Irrationally so.

people doing CrossFit BS in a normal gym—taking up the power rack, along with 3/4 of the space around it with their gay ass setup of KB’s and box’s. Fuck off.

A kettlebell will actually improve your squat AND deadlift. Box can too.

Just sayin.

More believable than the tripe you get from all the nerds huggin' Batnuts. Lol.

I utilize KBs and I do box squats. However, I don’t set them all up at the same time in the limited space of the gym and do a gay ass medley of box jumps, KB swings and Oly lifting at sub-par weights.

Super setting swings or box jumps will get your hips moving and glutes firing harder.

Huge difference when I dont incorporate KB Swings into my warm-up sets or even working sets.

The bell sits just outside the rack, a box can do the same. I guess I just dont understand how these people are taking up so much room?

I prefer giant sets personally, and keep on a clock throughout. It cuts down the additional cardio and effectively doubles my push / pull volume. Has nothing to do with crossfit.

I find the guys that treat the gym like a social club are way worse.

My gym is cramped as it is. I’d need a picture to accurately show it. I’d be fine with it if it was kept in the vicinity of the power rack... But no, Mr. Turbo5000 has to spread his shit out in what looks to be separate “stations”. Trust me, you’d be fucking annoyed too. And it’s definitely some gay CrossFit shit with his light ass oly lifting.

- The dude who focuses solely on upper body, but never heard of leg day. Do people actually think they’re attractive with skinny ass chicken legs?
- Old naked dudes who talk while naked. There’s also an old guy I nick named butters because he always takes a piss with his pants down to his ankles.
- The dude that spends more time taking selfies and flexing then working out.
-The jackass that feels the need to make a phone call and talk loud as fuck while working out.
-The group of fuck boys that treat the gym like it’s a social club.

6'8 400+ lbs. He would peel that 155lbers arm off his own throat. You're kidding, right? No fucking way. The 155lb guy could barely reach around that behemoth. Seriously, you are over hyping fighting skills. There are limitations. Its be like me fighting a 10yr old strengthwise. If Shaw laid on top of him he'd be done.

you're right.

i boxed for over a decade and weight classes exist for a reason. assuming a somewhat even amount of skill unless you got exceedingly lucky 20lbs is the most fighting skill can overtake.

now take a 150lbs skilled fighter vs a 250lbs average muscle guy, he just has to fall on or get a hold of him once. can the 150lbs guy win, yes but again he'd have to fight a flawless game and get very lucky.

size matters.

weight classes exist for that reason.

Grappling is not striking and nobody is talking about boxing.

I've got about a decade in myself. Ive watched it happen, repeatedly. Yes, size matters, weight classes matter.

But an aircraft carrier goes down to a PT Boat that's too quick for the big guns to hit. A choke that puts you out in 4 is the C4 on the hull of the fighting game.

Go watch some old Outlaw MMA, before they instituted weight classes.

i used boxing as an example because i did it wudnt classes aren't exclusive to boxing. wrestling has weight classes, same reason.

whatever napoleon complex is going on here won't ever make up for 20lbs of muscle

No Napoleon complex, I'm 5'11 and about 220lbs. I'm speaking from experience. Lol.

I've watched 135lb women pick apart guys twice their size. You're speaking strictly from a strikers standpoint, and assuming comparable skill sets, conditioning, and mobility.

That's not the scenario that was proposed. You're actually talking about a trained and experienced grappler, conditioned to fight, taking a 400lb plus strongman conditioned for short bursts of explosiveness, with zero training or experience.

And the comparative mobility of a brick.

Got to agree here. A trained fighter beats the bigger guy almost every time.
Watch this grapple match between George st Pierre and George Laroque.

For people who don’t know, George Laroque is a killer, he was a tough guy in the NHL and he get toyed with by GSP. GSP is outweighed by an easy 60lbs.

Yeah, 60lbs I believe but not 250lbs like the Brian Shaw example.
