Gym Shamming

Royce vs akebono. Doesn't prove anything because it always comes down to the individual. Its impressive because he gave up about 300lbs
 
Watched two guys get a pr today:rolleyes: one on flat bench one for deadlift it just happened to be on the same exact bar at the same exact time. Fuckin hate spotters that help but this shit was on another level. I should of taken a pic of the set up they were using, we have nice rogue racks with these adjustable steps/platforms they had them set up higher than the guy benching's head.o_O
 
I stand corrected. That guy doesnt look that big.

It's like I said, strength is great.

But a massive size advantage can quickly become a disadvantage. Wasn't trying to bust anyone's balls. Just seen it play out too many times.

On that note: I would actually put odds on am experienced Sumo with some striking ability doing better over a guy like Shaw. Simply for the fact that they actually tend to be pretty agile and flexible for big guys. Quick too, and there's a huge emphasis on endurance in training(surprisingly to most).
 
We all have our own idea of what is dumb at the gym. I’d like to know what makes you shake your head. Let’s try to stay away from the typical, curling in the squat rack.

Mine:

1. Empty gym bags on the floor. Most gyms have lockers and if you can’t buy a lock some will have areas to keep valuables in plain sight. Nothing that I laugh at more than a few meat heads walking around like their going to the airport after their session. I’m not talking about guys that have actual stuff in their bag like belts or wraps etc.

2. No leg leg day. Hear me out. I’ve got at least two guys at my guy who walk around like they just finish a set of 315 on squat yet have the legs of a marathon runner. Did you ride in on a horse? Maybe that explains that bow legged walk.

3. 1/4 leg press 1000lbs. Are you trying to blow out a knee? Can’t go all of the way down then why not take off half the weight? You know it’s cheating when you push down using your arms? I’m not sure you’re fooling most, thinking that you could full rep 22 plates.
Let’s be real would u even call 315 a reason to walk around like that

1) Standing in front of the DB rack while doing rows or lat raises

2) Sitting at a machine while on your phone

3) using a single pulley in the double pulley rack.

4) Dudes with their balls out in the LR.

5) Fat physical trainers, yea, I said it.

I do #1 (bent over rows) with 130- 150. Why bother taking them anywhere, too heavy! Besides, no one wants to piss me off...

And shout out to the little ghetto short dude who weighed 140lbs who just had to run into the squat rack and curl his little 20lbs dumbells with his feet spread out like a spider just barely getting those tiny tiny dumbells up to his chin just about break his spine, did that while I went to go get water, like I wouldn’t tell his ass I’m still squatting over twice his body weight and to get out of the squat rack.

Fuckin dumbass, keep eating like a bird you worthless waste of fucking gym space.

And stupid ass people who think a 3 plate deadlift is strong. Jump off a fuckin bridge

Oh the dumbass who’s using 30 lb dumbells to front raise like a fuckin Olympic lift

Or the dude squatting 35lb plates. ONCE AGAIN. WOMEN WORKING HARDER THAN THE GODDAMN boys in the gym.
