Does she have symptoms of slow metabolism?
It looks like it triggers FM for those genetically prone to it. Probably reason why T3 works.
Also FM is much more common in women, who usually have slower metabolic rates.

An article briefly outlining the alternative approach to treating fibro from an optimising hormone perspective rather than just dealing with the symptoms using painkillers & muscle relaxants. It's a little out of date though : male- female ratio is now calculated to be 7-8/10 M/F and the 'trigger point' diagnosis is no longer used so much anymore.
