How do you feel when you wake up?

I’m 26 and feel like shit in the morning, takes me a couple of hours to get out of bed. I’m guessing I’m not getting enough sleep, I’m a big guy, 5 foot 8 inches and around 200 pounds and maintain that year round. Never used gear but want to check out my blood work and see what is up. Yeah sleep is big, I also work the night shift, working several jobs which puts me around 55-70 plus hours of work a week on top of the gym which definitely kills my energy. Sleep is messed up and I’m always tired and feeling shitty.

I must be an alien (my wife tells me I am). I'm 57 yo and wake up from my two to three-hour polyphasic naps feeling pretty decent. A few aches and pains here and there. Nothing big.

I feel like complete ass hole mentally I have such a terrible foggy head for 30 ish min. Once I get the pre workout flowing I’m good but even if I sleep restfully for 9 hours I just cannot wake up well. It makes no sense to me I used to hop ip out of bed.

Ok, so....not that sure where to put this post but training seemed the best fit.

I'm 41. I dont look it. But for fucks sake I feel like a 60 yr old man who's been hit with hammers all night after I wake up.

Sore joints sore muscles...fucking just gross all over. Goes away after about an hour and 2 cups of coffee. If I have to be at work at 5 am, I get up at 330 just to give myself time to turn back into a functioning human.

I dont think I'm over trained. I'm just not 25 anymore. Fuck.

Are your mornings similar?

Thanks for listening to my rant.

I’m 37 but high mileage brother. Bursitis, tendinitis and arthritis in both my shoulders already. Hard work catches up over time. Being a hero at work caught up, I’ve done heavy construction most of my life. Mornings do suck for me too but I find stretching and a healthy lifestyle do the best to combat age. Warriors or life.

I've noticed that I sleep more restful if I'm doing cardio regularly
100% feel the same way. If I don't do much in the way of cardio during the week my sleep is all over the place. However good doesn't stop be feeling like I've been hit b a bus each day. 16 plus years of playing rugby has wrecked me haha. Places where I've had dislocations/breaks/herniated disks hurt more when its cold or raining too, which is a bummer.

After getting a sleep study and getting on a cpap I wake up amazing, before I felt just like that, beat with a hammer

Also I swear I started growing better :D
Can I buy a cpap online and use it right away or does it need to be adjusted by the sleep doctor?

Any updates on this.

27y/o and I wake up 1.5 hours before work because I struggle so hard to wake up. Be it 5 hours of sleep or 9.

Morning sex is almost never an option as I wake up feeling drained every Morning

Secondwindcpap.com

guys, this is a decent website that sells new and used Cpap machines and also masks. Do yourselves a favor and get the dream wear full face mask, it allows you to sleep in any position.

I am seven years older and had the same. Sucked ass. 3 things that really helped me...Added fruit and veggies CONSISTANTLY to my diet, morning cardio (hard as hell but I found I found myself gaining more energy), and as someone else suggested sleep study. I wasn't sleeping hardly at all. Cpap made ALL the difference. Good luck.

Get a physical. Get blood work done. See a rheumatologist. Maybe even a Psychiatrist.

A younger wife can make you feel younger also!

I recognize myself and every early and good morning I hate myself because I have to get up early. I don't see this damn morning every time I pull myself out of a warm bed. But before I come to work, I need to get some coffee and take a walk with my dog). But she feels more human than I do, because she sleeps after a walk, and I'm going to this damn job)

Pissing 2 to 3 times a night could just be your base line. I had the same issues and saw a urologist. All was normal, I just happened to be a person who pisses 2 to 3 times a night lol. I had a hard time in am as well. I'm almost 40. But like most once I get moving, say 30 to 45 mins after waking up and having some caffeine I'm gtg. I too though definitely don't get enough sleep though. If I get 7 hours that's sleeping in.
Sleep is very important to me in general. But there is not enough of him and when he succeeds, he is happy as a holiday)

You guys considered the mattress your sleeping on?

I used to have back pain, decided to splurge $3k on a tempurpedic “breeze” edition mattress, from the very first night the pain was gone. Such an awesome mattress, feels like your floating in the air when you lay on it.

Not saying this will fix all your issues but it could make a big difference in the quality of your sleep, something to consider at the very least.

I agree that the mattress is a very important factor that affects both the quality of sleep and health in general. I would also pay attention to the orthopedic pillow. After all, these two points can very well change things with sleep for the better.

And I thought it was just me. Every time people compliment me on how I look I tell them this is just for show lol. I have some kind of pain 24/7. At this age I just accept some issues come with the territory. Sucks to get older.
