HPTA restart after TRT.

What were your doses for clomid if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m on week 10 of my restart. 5 weeks clearance, 3 weeks HCg, second week of serm now.
I ran hcg for the full period I was on trt, and continued w hcg after ceasing test. Continued the hcg for 8 weeks while letting the test totally clear my system. Then started up on 50mg clomid once a day for 8 weeks.

I got REALLY bad emotional sides from clomid but stuck it out.

How you feeling? Hope it is going great for you.

Also, I just checked my records, and for reference I started mid 2015 stopped mid 2019. I know there was one period towards the beginning when I hopped off and took a break for a while w zero pct (didn’t know shit back then), but was on for the rest of the time straight through, if that info is helpful to anyone.

Clomid is wild. I was 100mg a day and it made me a moody dickhead. I’m down to 50mg for another 2 weeks and then 25mg for another 2 weeks.

I will get labs before I drop to 25 to see if I need to stay at 50 for a little longer.

I really don’t feel that bad overall, beating my log every week, but definitely don’t look the same.

Should be interesting to see my labs I’m getting Wednesday just to peek at what’s happening. My natty level before TrT was 195 so I’m not expecting much.

Do you remember how long it took the Clomid to start showing some activity with LH/FSH?

Earlier studies note that the effects of hormonal contraception are reversible in men, but none go into great depth about how long this takes, says Christina Wang at the University of California and Los Angeles Biomedical Institute in the US.

She and her colleagues pooled data from 1549 men in 30 studies. According to the analysis, once the men stopped the treatments it took about 3-4 months for their sperm counts to return to fertile levels.

On the rebound

Researchers stress that 100% of the men in the 30 studies rebounded to at least this level within two years.

They also defined other factors that influenced this rebound: extended periods of treatment were associated with longer recovery time. And for some unknown reason, men in their twenties took slightly longer than middle-aged men to regain fertility. The results also indicated that ethnicity might influence this process, with recovery being faster in Asian men.

I’m sorry, I can’t remember. I took a fertility test at some point later that year and passed, had failed a fertility test the previous year while on TRT.

I think I need to drop my e2 lower
