It looks like spray tan man is taking the USA to war in Syria. What do my Meso bros think.

I don't mind sending troops and services to eradicate the evils of the world. I wasn't a proponent of the Iraq war. Thought we could have done it with a lot less troops and less monies spent.
The first thing that needs to be eradicated is are current administration.
What a joke!!;)

I'm not a proponent of instigating regime change or otherwise playing the part of a de facto world police in a world that already hates our guts.

My philosophy is if someone - or some group - fucks with us, we give them a ruthless and unrelenting show of force in exchange. Then leave and let their countrymen pick up the pieces. Rinse and repeat. Eventually our enemies would simply learn not to fuck with us and, in exchange, we won't annihilate them.

You'll have to be more specific the that.

My question meant how do you think we could have done it with less troops and less monies spent?

I would think, and I'm no expert, but we could have used a more black ops, underground secret militia type shit. The whole shock and awe shit was just a show of force and clearing of some old arsenal. You know, make room for some new shit. Someone certainly prospered.

Yea.. And you know who prospered. Doesn't it seem like EVERYtime we send troops somewhere... we leave it worse than it was?:(

Many Americans are fucked in the head. The US is on the terrorists side you brainsless goats. Who the fuck are you gonna fight. Secular socialist regimes ? Sunni Islamic regimes ? Iran ?
USA, Israel, isis, and sunny Islamic regimes like Saudi Arabia have the same intention. They're all against secular governments who are against imperialism and take care of their people. Take a look at Syria, Iraq, and Libya before the war. Muslims, christians, Jewish all lived in peace. Assad is still in power because of Russia and I hope china joins in to restore Syria how it used to be.
Do some research and you'll find out that our country is the strongest terrorist nation destabilizing the Middle East and wants Wahhabi Islamic regimes like Saudi Arabia to rule the Middle East so they can have more control of their oil. Wake the fuck up.

We stay the fuck out of the Middle East.....PERIOD.

Besides Israel...we stay there.
Totally agree but with the latest salvo of Tomahawks into Syria we are about to be drawn into yet ANOTHER war we cannot win. There is no way we can win in the Middle East...it's just as bad as Vietnam IMO.

Trump isn't that bright in the political arena and he is being played like a damn fiddle by the war hungry military brass.

After spending over 3 years downrange in both Iraq and Afghanistan I don't usually favor us continuing to play world police. However, seeing assad use chemical weapon and on his own people I have to put myself in the shoes of the parents that lost their children to the chemical weapons attacks and can't help but think that some intervention is needed. Do we need to send vast amounts of troops and equipment in? Fuck no...use our air force and continue bombardment with cruise missiles and see if Assad grows enough balls to use them again.

If we knew how to fight wars Now a days I would say yes eradicate the evils of the world.

If it were simple like ww1 or ww2 we would destroy them. We can't fight insurgencies or guerrilla warfare.

Iraq=failure. Afghanistan=failure. Isis was born in the vacuum of Iraq and the taliban are taking over our fobs in Afghanistan. The Afghan army? Watch some YouTube videos or vice and see how competent those clowns are. Thousands of Americans killed. Thousands of Americans wounded. Trillions of dollars wasted. For what? Do you feel safer? We are far more threatened after the last 16 than we were before we went to war.

When are we going to learn? This simple macho bullshit about kicking ass and spreading democracy are sound bites for the people making money off these wars.

We need to leave the Middle East along and protect ourselves.

I have cousins serving. I want them home.

I agree about taking Assad out. But, look what happened after we took out sadam. Al queda now isis. Sadam didn't allow those fucker in Iraq when he was in power.

The same shit will happen once we take out Assad. We need to leave them along. Let the rest of the world do the heavy lifting.

Russia and the U.S. should work together to remove Assad and let Putin prop up a new regime. He doesn't give a shit about Assad, just maintaining influence in the middle east and maybe leading to a decrease in crude oil prices across the world. As nuts as it sounds, working together with Russia could provide mutually assured benefits this time around.

I didn't mean to sound like removing Assad was the idea. We don't need another Libya or Iraq...
