Janoshik Analytical laboratory testing services

We do endotoxin testing,

We can do pyrogen too ( MAT ) but it's going to be a pain, so unless you are super duper serious about that, I won't be getting a quote for you right away.
He's never ordered a single test so no worries there. If naps says it's g2g, that's enough for this guy. He just likes to talk talk talk

@janoshik Have you gotten any test samples / Requests for "Astera Labs" Thus far? They carry an interesting line but cant seem to find any Testing for them! Thanks a bunch!

@Sampei my posting privileges are limited, so I can't reply to you in your thread, but as long as your vial gets fully dissolved, you can use as little solvent as you wish.

Hope this helps.

@janoshik curious if you can explain what this is and how you got a reference to such a compound "GLiPtide"
You don't need a reference with qNMR and LCMS.

We're more than adept in characterization of such molecules - we were the first lab to test tirzepatide and semaglutide by far, if you remember that. Long before any standards were available.

It's a proprietary (if that's the right word) name for a novel GLP-1 agonist developed by such vendor. Given nobody else offers it I decided to use that as the compound name to keep it simple.

Ok thanks. I'm not very smart on all this stuff but I'm curious without a reference and without knowing what it is molecularly how do you get a purity? If all you're seeing is a spike on a chromatogram and you don't have anything to compare it to how do you know it is what it's supposed to be? Again sorry if this is easily discernible information for the layman.

Can you explain more about being the first lab to test tirz and sema? Were these compounds "created" by a vendor like this new GLPTide seems to be?

With LCMS and NMR you're seeing a lot more than a spike on a chromatogram, but that's far beyond the scope of anything I can post.

If you are further interested in the subject, the process is called structural elucidation.

First commercial publicly open laboratory as far as I am aware, yes.

They were made by Lilly and Novo Nordisk (vendors as well I guess :) ), patented and the patented processes were copied by China based manufacturers a couple years ago.

Thanks for the clarification. Those compounds seem to have been "created" by reputable firms with longstanding testing/quality/etc. Some random dude seemingly created this new compound.

This is quite different in terms of comparison, at least in my opinion and one would think that it would either not be tested or come with some sort of asterick. I'm glad the majority of the community is speaking out against it all.
