JayMax - From Hernia Surgery to Greatness

Ive managed to build very nice thickness in the entire back without deadlifts. Traps are thick and long without deadlifts
The reason i choose to not do them is simple. They are not good for your lower back.
Its not a matter if you do them right or correct form
Its the nature of the movement
Ive always stood against the common notion deads are a core routine exercise. They most certainly are not. Squats are more important. Front squats especially. You will need a strong lower back for those and it wont destroy your lumbar in the process

Not lifting related, but its my thread...

Yesterday I had a potential employer call and did a 20 minute phone interview, said he wanted to do another today. So he emails me the details and its a skype interview. What? I havent had a job interview since around 2003 so I didnt know anything about this. Still had to get dressed up in a suit, just did it from my living room (I did wear pants).

Guess the world is changing...

I'm gonna start low, 10mg a day I'm thinking. Tren has been pretty easy on me, hopefully that is, too. I'm planning a pretty hefty cycle for nationals next year.

We may both be on tilt at Nationals. If you see an older guy having a heart attack help a Meso brother out and call 911 quickly.

Glad recovery is going well Jay. Neither of mine ever gave me a problem after being repaired.

Funny, I had a skype interview today also. I got offered the job too, but it was weird lol. I'd much prefer to talk in person.

Definetely not what I was used to. The interviewer was real chill though, but I wouldve rather gone in person. Especially since the business is about 10 minutes from me.

The company I interviewed for is a staffing company. So other big companies pay them to interview and do background checks and then pay them a finders fee. The dude loved me and told me I would be hired within a week but he was trying to look for the best company to get me in (which he told me "offline" just means they want whoever will give them the biggest fee).

Guess I gotta get with the times though.

Nice, staffing agencies are a great resource. I actually found out about the job I just mentioned through one. If you haven't already, I'd contact as many of them in your area as you can find, just to create more potential options for yourself, and cause they do the work for you, so there's no good reason not to.

Thats not a bad idea. I was real impressed that the guy called me back twice today to talk about companies he thought Id be a good fit for. Theyre real motivated because they get paid when Im hired plus they get points when they have a good candidate.

I'll have to see if there are any reputable ones in my area.

Staffing agencies typically have a hold period on you. Kinda like a contract. Usually 6 months. During which time you can be terminated for any reason and usually work for less till you get hired on board by the company full time. Ive never been involved with one but i train everybody that comes out of an agency for my company and hear all the details nearly everyday

Strong comeback Jay and muscle memory sure is serving you well, so you should be back in fighting strength soon enough. You planning to compete in a meet eventually?

Probably really simple and im gonna feel dumb when you tell me. But what are the numbers in parentheses after some of the sets/reps

(45,45,10,2.5)

The website I use breaks it down to what weights you need to use. Basically its powerlifting for dummies (or people like me)
