And I agree with you. The risk is always there. Like I said, I'm kind of on the fence about gear in fighting. I see both sides of the argument.
I guess the only way to know the full consequences for sure are to try and see. If gear is completely allowed in combat sports, will we see more injuries? Or deaths in the ring? Will the fights be more entertaining? Will fighters be able to fight more frequently, or will it take much longer to bounce back from a beating when the average fighter gets 15 lbs heavier, leaner, and unquestionably more powerful?
